Yijing X9 delivers 3,612 units in two weeks, average price 340,000 yuan

Yijing Auto's X9 MPV delivered 3,612 units in its first two weeks of nationwide deliveries, with an average transaction price of 340,000 yuan (about $47,900).

Yijing Auto, a brand under Chinese automaker Geely, said its X9 MPV delivered 3,612 units in the two weeks since nationwide deliveries began on October 18. The average transaction price reached 340,000 yuan (about $47,900), according to data released by the company and reported by Sina Auto.

Strong start for the X9

The X9 is Yijing's flagship battery-electric MPV, positioned in the premium segment of China's rapidly growing electric-vehicle market. The delivery figure covers only the single model and reflects strong early demand, with the company noting the average selling price of 340,000 yuan as evidence of its upmarket positioning.

The two-week tally of 3,612 units puts the X9 among the more successful recent launches in China's electric MPV category, a segment that has seen intensifying competition from brands such as Denza, Zeekr and Xpeng. Yijing, which was established by Geely to focus on electric commercial and passenger vehicles, has been expanding its lineup to compete in both fleet and consumer markets.

Market context

China's electric MPV segment has grown quickly over the past two years as families and ride-hailing operators shift toward battery-electric models. The X9 competes directly with models like the Denza D9 EV and Zeekr 009, which have set high benchmarks for range and interior space. Yijing has not disclosed a CLTC range figure for the X9 in this announcement, but the model is expected to offer a range of around 600 kilometres (373 miles) on the CLTC cycle, which would translate to roughly 500 kilometres (311 miles) under the more conservative WLTP estimate.

The average transaction price of 340,000 yuan (about $47,900) is a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives, and places the X9 firmly in the premium bracket of China's EV market. By comparison, the Zeekr 009 starts at around 430,000 yuan (about $60,600) and the Denza D9 EV at roughly 370,000 yuan (about $52,100).

Sina Auto noted that the delivery figure was released by Yijing Auto's official channels, and that the company has not yet provided a breakdown by region or customer type. The strong start suggests the X9 is finding traction among buyers seeking a large, electric family vehicle with premium features.

Yijing's parent Geely has been pushing its EV brands upmarket, with Zeekr targeting the luxury segment and Yijing focusing on commercial and family-oriented electric vehicles. The X9's early performance will be watched closely as an indicator of demand in China's electric MPV niche.
