Chinese electric-vehicle maker Leapmotor delivered 106,127 vehicles globally in October, a 51% year-on-year increase and the fourth consecutive month above the 100,000-unit mark, according to NetEase Auto. The company says it now ranks among China's top three new-energy brands and fourth globally among new-energy vehicle makers. As of the end of October 2026, cumulative global deliveries surpassed 1.9 million units, with the 2 millionth vehicle expected to roll off the line in November.
European expansion and local production
At the Paris International Motor Show on October 12, Leapmotor showcased its most comprehensive European lineup to date. The A05, a compact smart sedan, made its European debut, alongside the D19, a technology-focused luxury flagship SUV. Founder Zhu Jiangming and Leapmotor International CEO Danilo Annese jointly unveiled the models. Annese outlined the company's next-phase European strategy, emphasizing continuous innovation, deeper localization, and developing electric mobility solutions around consumer needs.
On October 16, Leapmotor and Stellantis reached a major industrial milestone: production of the Leapmotor B10 began at the Zaragoza plant in Spain. The facility leverages Stellantis' established manufacturing systems and European footprint, combined with Leapmotor's expertise in new-energy vehicle technology and product development. The move brings B10 production closer to European customers and is part of the partners' broader push to accelerate competitive electric mobility in the region.
Sales momentum and promotions
To mark the approaching 2 millionth delivery, Leapmotor launched a "Double 11" limited-time sales campaign on November 1, offering up to 57,379 yuan (about $8,080) in combined benefits on select models, including financial, warranty, and data perks across its current lineup. The promotion aims to make high-quality intelligent mobility more accessible to a wider customer base.
Leapmotor's October performance underscores its rapid ascent in the competitive Chinese EV market, where it competes with larger players like BYD and Li Auto. The company's global push, particularly in Europe, comes as Chinese automakers increasingly seek overseas growth amid intense domestic competition. With the Zaragoza plant now operational, Leapmotor is positioning itself to navigate potential trade barriers and cater to European demand with locally built vehicles.
