EVs and exports lead growth

Joint-venture brands also contributed: SAIC Volkswagen sold 74,000 NEVs in the first ten months, up 49.1%, while SAIC-GM sold 106,000, up 56.2%.

Europe drives overseas push

Overseas sales reached 163,000 units in October, up 67.3% year on year, and 1.328 million units over the first ten months, up 54%. In Europe, SAIC's largest overseas market, the MG brand sold 320,000 units in the January-October period, up 24.7%.

In the UK, MG sold more than 18,000 units in September, a record for the brand. In Germany, orders for the MG4 EV Urban surpassed 16,000 units, and MG's total order volume across its model range rose 177% year on year in the third quarter. In Poland, MG sales grew 88% in September and 44% for the first nine months.
