Lynk & Co is preparing a stretched, seven-seat version of its flagship SUV, the 900L, after the model appeared in Chinese regulatory filings this week. According to NetEase Auto, the new variant is not a simple body extension but a full update of the brand's top-end lineup, adding design, powertrain and equipment changes aimed squarely at large families.
The 900L measures 5,280 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,810 mm tall, with a 3,170 mm wheelbase - 40 mm longer and 10 mm more in wheelbase than the current model. The key addition is a seven-seat layout, a first for the range, which Lynk & Co hopes will strengthen its position in the big-SUV segment where it currently lacks a flagship.
Design and powertrain updates
The filing images show a redesigned front end with the daytime running lights and main headlamps merged into a single light unit, a taller bonnet with extra creases, and a larger high-gloss black lower bumper. The D-pillar keeps the brand's signature vertical styling, while the rear retains a full-width light bar. The car rides on 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, with an optional aero-style "big cake" wheel design and a two-tone gold-and-dark paint scheme, hinting at a push toward more premium, customised finishes. A deep wine-red colour is expected to become the new signature shade.
Under the bonnet, the 900L pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with three electric motors in a petrol-electric hybrid system. Buyers can choose between 55 kWh and 70 kWh battery packs, delivering 245 km and 320 km of WLTC electric-only range respectively - up from the current model. Combined fuel consumption is listed as low as 0.26 L/100 km, and top speed is 225 km/h.
Filing details and market positioning
The WLTC figures quoted in the filing are measured under the European-style test cycle, so they are more conservative than the CLTC numbers Chinese buyers usually see. The 900L is expected to slot above the existing Lynk & Co 900, giving the Geely-owned brand a more complete SUV portfolio in China's increasingly crowded large-hybrid segment.
No launch date or pricing has been announced. The model was first spotted in road tests in Changsha, Hunan province, earlier this month, and the regulatory filing confirms it is heading for production.
