Li Auto launches 2026 i6 with 780 km CLTC range, starting at 239,800 yuan

Li Auto's updated i6 BEV starts at 239,800 yuan ($33,800) during a limited launch period, offering a 780 km CLTC range and standard features like air suspension and zero-gravity seats.

Li Auto has launched the 2026 i6, its best-selling battery-electric SUV, with a starting price of 249,800 yuan (about $35,200) and a limited-time launch price of 239,800 yuan (about $33,800), according to Chinese tech outlet Kuai Keji. The promotion runs from October 28 to November 30. The company says the upgrade adds more than 50,000 yuan in value across space, storage, electric range, driving, intelligence, and safety.

The exterior remains unchanged, featuring a streamlined design that reduces drag. Inside, the front seats are now zero-gravity with 18-point massage, and the second-row "queen seat" reclines up to 140 degrees—Li Auto claims it is the only five-seat SUV under 300,000 yuan with this feature. A new electric front trunk can be opened by knocking, voice command, the car's screen, or a smartphone app. The cabin also gains a star-ring ambient light and a large adjustable vanity mirror.

Intelligent driving and cockpit upgrades

The 2026 i6 introduces Li Auto's self-developed Mach M100 intelligent driving platform, paired with the Mach VLA large model. The cockpit runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chip and features a 29-inch 6K panoramic screen, with an optional 21-inch 4K rear entertainment display. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar.

According to Li Auto, the Mach VLA2.5 system can anticipate hazards, such as slowing down when a bus brakes suddenly at night, reversing to give space when a front car's reverse lights come on, and yielding on narrow roads when a truck approaches. The car also comes standard with dual-chamber air suspension and adaptive LED headlights.

Range and performance

The 2026 i6 is powered by a 96 kWh battery from Li Auto's Lianshan series. The rear-wheel-drive version has a CLTC range of 780 km (about 485 miles), while the all-wheel-drive version offers 710 km (about 441 miles). Note that CLTC figures are typically 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP, so the WLTP estimate would be around 624-663 km (388-412 miles). Fast charging adds 500 km of range in 10 minutes.

Optional dual-motor all-wheel drive brings total power to 400 kW (about 536 hp) and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds. Other options include the dual Mach M100 package with 2,560 TOPS of computing power and three solid-state lidar units for 20,000 yuan (about $2,800), a rear entertainment screen for 10,000 yuan (about $1,400), and a tow hitch with 1.5-ton capacity for 6,000 yuan (about $850).

The i6 has been a strong seller for Li Auto, with orders exceeding 70,000 units since its original launch in September last year, and over 160,000 deliveries in the first nine months of this year, often leading the mid-to-large SUV segment. The 2026 model keeps the price unchanged while making features like air suspension and zero-gravity seats standard, directly targeting rivals such as the Tesla Model Y and Xiaomi YU7.
