Leapmotor October global deliveries hit 106,127, fourth straight month above 100,000

Leapmotor delivered 106,127 vehicles globally in October, its fourth consecutive month above 100,000, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 1.9 million and nearing a 2 million milestone.

Chinese electric-vehicle maker Leapmotor said it delivered 106,127 vehicles globally in October, marking its fourth consecutive month with monthly sales above the 100,000-unit threshold. The company, which builds battery-electric (BEV) and range-extender (EREV) models, said cumulative deliveries have now surpassed 1.9 million units and are approaching a 2 million-vehicle production milestone, according to Sina Auto.

Steady climb

The October figure continues a strong run for the Hangzhou-based automaker, which has seen demand grow across both its domestic lineup and overseas markets. Leapmotor did not break down the October total by region or powertrain in its announcement.

The company's global cumulative deliveries of 1.9 million units reflect its expansion since launching its first model in 2019. Leapmotor has been increasing exports to Europe and other regions, partly through its partnership with Stellantis, which holds a stake in the Chinese brand and distributes its vehicles internationally.

Milestone ahead

Leapmotor said it is about to roll its 2 millionth vehicle off the production line, a milestone that would underscore its rapid scaling in recent years. The company's product range includes the C10 and C16 SUVs, the T03 city car, and the C01 sedan, with models offered in both BEV and EREV versions.

The delivery data comes as Chinese EV makers compete intensely in a crowded domestic market, with price cuts and new model launches frequent. Leapmotor has positioned itself with a focus on value, offering features such as advanced driver assistance at competitive price points.

For context, Leapmotor's October performance compares with rivals like BYD, which regularly posts monthly sales above 300,000 units, and Nio and Xpeng, which each deliver around 20,000 to 30,000 vehicles per month. Leapmotor's recent surge has moved it into a higher tier of Chinese EV sellers.

The company has not yet provided a full-year target for 2026, but with four consecutive months above 100,000 units, its annualized run rate would exceed 1.2 million vehicles. Leapmotor's growth has been aided by its EREV models, which combine a battery with a small gasoline engine that acts as a generator to extend range, appealing to buyers worried about charging infrastructure.

As Leapmotor approaches the 2 million-unit production landmark, its next challenge will be sustaining growth as competition intensifies and tariffs on Chinese EVs in some overseas markets add friction to its export plans.
