Jing-Jin Electric's North American subsidiary announced on October 28, 2026, that it has started mass production of a new three-in-one e-drive system developed for a new US customer, according to a report by Gasgoo, a Chinese automotive news outlet. The system will be installed in the customer's electric pickup trucks, marking another milestone for the Chinese supplier's expansion in North America.
The newly launched system integrates three core components: a high-efficiency flat-wire motor, a high-power-density controller, and a low-noise, high-efficiency reducer. The system delivers a peak power of over 150 kW (about 201 hp) and a torque output exceeding 3,200 Nm, meeting the demands of high-speed driving and heavy towing typical for pickup trucks.
Jing-Jin Electric's system uses a proprietary oil-free, water-cooled composite cooling technology that enhances continuous power output, particularly suited for high-speed cruising and trailer use common in North America. The product also includes an electronic wheel-pawl parking system developed for the North American market, achieving the highest functional safety level of ASIL-D.
Local production and market expansion
The company's North American production base is located near Detroit, a core region of the US automotive industry. Jing-Jin Electric has already mass-produced several electric motors, controllers, and e-drive systems there and established a mature local logistics and after-sales support system. According to the report, the scale and revenue contribution of this new customer project are higher than previous similar collaborations.
With the formal mass production and delivery of this new e-drive system, Jing-Jin Electric's product lineup in North America has been further refined, and its local customer base continues to grow. As one of the company's key overseas markets, the steady progress of its North American business will provide important support for its global development.
