Geely's Lynk & Co brand will launch its new 20 compact battery-electric SUV (BEV) in China on Sept 28, according to the Chinese news outlet NetEase Auto. The model, which has already opened for pre-orders with a 99 yuan (about $14) deposit, is positioned as a tech-forward entry in the compact segment.
The Lynk & Co 20 is built on an 800V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform and comes with a roof-mounted lidar and the Qianli Haohan H5 driver-assistance system as standard equipment. The car is also equipped with 28 high-precision perception units, enabling all-scenario parking assistance and comprehensive active safety functions.
Design and interior
Exterior styling follows Lynk & Co's The Next Day design language, featuring the brand's signature split headlight arrangement with a horizontal connecting trim piece. The vehicle measures 4,495 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, and 1,573 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm.
Inside, the cabin features a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a shift-by-wire stalk, a full digital instrument cluster, and a floating central touchscreen. The infotainment system includes an AI voice assistant called Super Eva. Other notable features include a 37.5-liter front refrigerator, a 6.8-liter center-console cooler, a 23-speaker Lynk Sound audio system, and ambient lighting.
Powertrain and charging
The Lynk & Co 20 uses a rear-mounted single electric motor with a total output of 245 kW (about 328 hp). It is powered by a new Shen Dun Jin Brick lithium iron phosphate battery, and supports 6C ultra-fast charging thanks to the 800V architecture. The car also comes with continuously variable damping electronic suspension and a tire-blowout stability control system.
Pricing details have not been announced. The Lynk & Co 20 will be sold as a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives when it goes on sale later this month.
