Gasgoo CEO honored at auto knowledge forum as AI reshapes industry publishing

Gasgoo CEO Zhou Xiaoying received an Outstanding Author award at a symposium on automotive knowledge ecosystems, held alongside the SAECCE 2026 annual conference in Suzhou. The event brought together academics, industry executives and publishers to discuss how AI and electrification are changing automotive content creation, with Zhou also set to publish two books on China's auto industry going global and software-defined vehicles.

Gasgoo, a Chinese automotive industry data and information platform, said its chief executive and editor-in-chief Zhou Xiaoying was named an Outstanding Author at a symposium on building automotive knowledge ecosystems, held on October 28 during the SAECCE 2026 annual conference at the Suzhou International Expo Center, according to First Electric (d1ev.com).

The event, organized by the automotive book expert committee of China Machinery Industry Press, gathered academics, industry executives and publishers to discuss how knowledge content for the auto sector should evolve amid the shift toward intelligent and electrified vehicles. The roundtable was moderated by Shu Tian, deputy director of the press's automotive division.

Panelists included Wang Yongjia, a senior experimentalist at Hefei University of Technology's School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering; Zhang Qiong, who leads advanced manufacturing large-model initiatives at Xiaomi Auto; Zhou Xiaoying; and Liang Hongyu, a scholar at Jilin University. Their discussion spanned academic research, large-model applications, industry media platforms and frontier scholarship.

AI's growing role in automotive content

As artificial intelligence increasingly penetrates the auto industry, the panelists shared perspectives on how knowledge is produced and disseminated. Zhou drew on Gasgoo's long experience serving the automotive sector to discuss how industry media can help build a high-quality knowledge ecosystem and deliver more valuable content to readers.

Beyond the roundtable, the symposium featured a ceremony recognizing authors who have contributed significantly to automotive book publishing. Zhou was among those honored with the Outstanding Author certificate.

In 2026, two books by Zhou are scheduled for publication by China Machinery Industry Press: "Automotive Going Global: Practices and Strategies for China's Auto Industry Overseas Expansion" and "Building Cars 2.0: The Supply Chain Revolution Under Software-Defined Vehicles." Both titles aim to accelerate the intelligence and internationalization of China's auto industry through research and dissemination.

Gasgoo describes itself as a leading industry data and information service platform based in China with global reach. While focused on the automotive sector, it has also incubated new business lines in robotics and low-altitude aircraft. The company says its mission is to "discover good companies, promote good technology, and empower industry professionals," offering services across supply chain matching, strategic analysis, brand promotion, overseas expansion and system resources.
