Dongfeng's 2027 Yipai 007 electric sedan has officially launched in China, arriving in two trims: the "675 Laser Edition" and the "550 Cruise Edition." According to NetEase Auto, the official guide prices range from 115,900 to 135,900 yuan (about $16,300 to $19,100), with a limited-time subsidized price of 109,900 to 129,900 yuan (about $15,500 to $18,300). These are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives.
The 2027 model is a mid-cycle refresh aimed at younger buyers, with upgrades focused on range, intelligence, and detail features. The high-spec version packs a 73.5kWh Mach battery, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 675km (about 419 miles). For context, CLTC figures are typically 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP, so a realistic estimate would be around 540-575km (about 336-357 miles) under WLTP conditions.
Design and dimensions
The 2027 Yipai 007 retains the wide, fastback coupe silhouette of the outgoing model. It measures 4,880mm long, 1,915mm wide (1,895mm for the lower trim), and 1,476mm tall, with a 2,915mm wheelbase. Standard features include frameless doors, 19-inch wheels, and semi-hidden mechanical door handles with a tensile strength of 1,000N, allowing them to open manually even if the vehicle loses power.
The car comes with a power liftback tailgate and a 490L boot, plus a 32L front trunk. A 1.82m² Low-e double-coated panoramic roof spans the cabin, and the total glazing area reaches 4.2m², with 99.99% UV rejection. The exterior palette includes a new霞光紫 (sunset purple) metallic paint, while the starry night black and glazed white options get a pearl finish. Five exterior colors and three interior themes are available.
Powertrain and driver assistance
The 2027 Yipai 007 uses a rear-drive quantum architecture platform with a minimum turning radius of 5.6m. It features VDC PLUS for stability during tire blowouts and CST comfort stop to reduce brake nose-dive. The motor produces 200kW (about 268hp), enabling a 0-100km/h sprint in 5.7 seconds. Fast charging takes the battery from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes.
Driver assistance is handled by the Tianyuan T200 system, built on a Horizon J6M domain controller with 128 TOPS of computing power. It uses a Hesai ATX lidar and 27 other perception sensors, supporting highway NOA and urban NOA (city advanced driver assistance). Parking functions cover vertical, angled, and parallel spots, with 8-way exit assist, 6-floor cross-level memory parking, Bluetooth remote parking, and track-back assist. The car also includes standard AES automatic emergency steering, which intervenes between 60-135km/h when AEB braking alone can't avoid a collision.
Inside, the Tianyuan Smart Cabin 2.0 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip with 5nm process, featuring dual AI large language models for voice control and built-in karaoke without a microphone. The 2027 Yipai 007 is positioned as a value-for-money BEV (battery-electric) option in China's highly competitive sedan segment.
