Avatr Technology has launched the 07L Max, a battery-electric version of its 07L SUV, priced at 229,900 yuan (about $32,380) with a limited-time offer of 215,900 yuan (about $30,410). The model features Huawei's 896-line lidar and ADS 5 system.

Avatr Technology, the premium EV brand backed by Changan, Huawei and CATL, has officially launched the 07L Max, a battery-electric (BEV) version of its 07L SUV, in China. According to NetEase Auto, the model carries a guide price of 229,900 yuan (about $32,380) before taxes and incentives, with a limited-time promotional price of 215,900 yuan (about $30,410) available until November 30, 2026.

Huawei-powered intelligence

The 07L Max is positioned as a "smart, beautiful, large five-seat luxury SUV," and its key selling point is the Huawei Qiankun 896-line image-level lidar, paired with Huawei's ADS 5 advanced driver assistance system. The vehicle is equipped with 27 high-sensing sensors, creating a 360-degree redundant perception network. The ADS 5 system, upgraded to the WEWA 2.0 architecture, enables "parking space to parking space" assisted driving across various scenarios, according to the company.

Inside, the cabin features a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic star ring screen spanning the dashboard, two 6.7-inch electronic exterior mirror displays, a 15.6-inch Huawei smart screen, and a 9-inch electronic interior mirror, forming a five-screen setup. The HarmonySpace cockpit, upgraded to the MoLA 2.0 architecture, offers voice control, entertainment, and smart home connectivity.

Space and safety

The 07L Max boasts a 3-meter wheelbase, with front seats that recline to form a 2-meter chaise lounge, and rear seats that fold to create a 3-square-meter bed area. The trunk can accommodate 12 20-inch suitcases, and with the right rear seat folded, the loading depth extends to 2.89 meters. The cabin features over 10 square meters of soft-touch materials, a 13-layer front seat structure, and a zero-gravity passenger seat with dual 120-degree recline.

Safety is a major focus: the vehicle meets both China C-NCAP and European E-NCAP five-star standards, with a steel-aluminum hybrid cage body using over 90% high-strength steel, hot-formed steel, and aluminum. It includes nine airbags and a battery from CATL, with a defect rate of one in a billion cells, ensuring no fire, explosion, or thermal runaway, the company claims. The interior uses infant-grade materials for a "mother-and-baby level" healthy cabin.

Avatr is offering nine limited-time purchase benefits valued at over 80,000 yuan (about $11,270), including a 4,000 yuan cash discount, a 10,000 yuan purchase tax subsidy, a 10,000 yuan trade-in subsidy for existing Avatr owners, a 5,000 yuan replacement subsidy for other brands, a lifetime warranty for the first owner on the electric motor, battery, and electronic control, a 23,920 yuan 5-year zero-interest financing plan, a 21,000 yuan voucher for the ADS Max feature pack, a 3,000 yuan discount on exterior colors, and a 10,000 yuan free upgrade to the zero-gravity passenger seat.

The 07L Max is now available for order through the Avatr app, official website, mini-programs, and retail stores across China. With this launch, Avatr aims to strengthen its position in the mid-to-large luxury SUV segment, leveraging the combined expertise of Changan, Huawei, and CATL.
