Zongheng launches 2027 G700 luxury off-roader from 304,900 yuan

Zongheng, a Chinese luxury off-road brand, has launched the 2027 G700 SUV in five trims, starting at 304,900 yuan (about $42,900), featuring Huawei ADAS, hybrid power, and amphibious capability.

Zongheng, a Chinese luxury off-road brand under Chery, unveiled the 2027 G700 at a launch event in Beijing on September 29. The full-size SUV is available in five trims, with a limited-time starting price of 304,900 yuan (about $42,900) for the five-seat Explorer version, according to Chinese outlet 电动邦 (EV Kingdom). The range tops out with the 260km Smart Realm Kunlun six-seat version.

Hybrid power and off-road hardware

The G700 is built on Zongheng's GAIA all-terrain intelligent control platform and features the Kunpeng super hybrid CDM-O system, a full set of three differential locks, and an XWD-S fully automatic intelligent four-wheel drive. The vehicle also comes with an internal high-pressure integrated frame and a "conquest mode" for extreme terrain. Zongheng says the G700 is designed to balance on-road comfort with off-road capability, a philosophy the company calls "one car, two lives."

In terms of range, the 260km variants likely refer to the CLTC all-electric range, which is roughly 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP figure. A WLTP estimate would be around 220-230 km (est.). The hybrid system also provides an extended total range, though the source does not specify the combined figure.

Huawei ADAS and luxury interior

The G700 integrates Huawei's Qiankun (ADS) intelligent driving system, a Zongheng-inspired cockpit, and a large language model from Doubao. Inside, the SUV offers dual zero-gravity seats, a 20-speaker Lexicon audio system, 64-color ambient lighting, and CDC (continuous damping control) with air suspension. These features aim to dispel the notion that hardcore off-roaders lack intelligence or comfort.

Zongheng also highlighted the G700's amphibious capability. The top-spec Zhizun Navigation Edition has completed a crossing of the Yangtze River and participated in rescue operations on the Min River, using the Ark amphibious technology. At the launch, the brand issued first-batch owners certificates for emergency navigation experience, signaling a move toward mass production of amphibious vehicles.

The G700 has been on sale for 11 months, with global sales exceeding 30,000 units. Zongheng claims it has become the best-selling Chinese luxury SUV in eight countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Mexico. The brand also noted achievements such as being the first production car to summit Bilutu Peak and the first Chinese production vehicle to challenge the Moab Easter Jeep Safari in the US.

The launch underscores Zongheng's ambition to expand globally, with the G700 positioned as a flagship that combines off-road pedigree with modern technology. The company also introduced a new exploration IP called "Zongheng Realm" to support environmental and user-community initiatives.
