Zongheng launches 2027 G700 luxury off-roader from 304,900 yuan

Chinese off-road brand Zongheng unveiled the 2027 G700 at an event in Beijing, with prices starting at 304,900 yuan (about $43,000). The model features Huawei's Qiankun ADAS, a hybrid powertrain, and amphibious capabilities.

Chinese off-road specialist Zongheng has launched the 2027 G700, a full-domain luxury SUV, at an event held at the Shougang Park in Beijing on September 29. The model is priced from 304,900 yuan (about $43,000) as a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives, with five trim levels available: Explorer 5-seat, Wild 5-seat, Zhijing Qiankun 5-seat, 260km Zhijing Qiankun 5-seat, and 260km Zhijing Qiankun 6-seat.

The G700 is built on Zongheng's GAIA full-domain intelligent control system and embodies the brand's "one car, two lives" philosophy, aiming to blend urban comfort with off-road capability. According to the Chinese outlet DiyiEV, the vehicle integrates Huawei's Qiankun ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), a hybrid powertrain, and a range of luxury features, challenging the traditional notion that hardcore off-roaders lack intelligence.

Global ambitions and amphibious tech

Zongheng claims the G700 has sold over 30,000 units globally in 11 months, achieving the top spot for Chinese luxury SUVs in eight countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Mexico. The brand also highlighted its off-road credentials, including being the first production car to summit Bilutu Peak and the first Chinese production vehicle to tackle the Moab Easter Jeep Safari in the US.

The 2027 G700 comes with a suite of off-road hardware, including three locking differentials as standard, an XWD-S fully automatic intelligent four-wheel drive system, and a "conquest mode" for extreme terrain. The vehicle also features a double-zero-gravity seat setup, a 20-speaker Lexicon audio system, 64-color ambient lighting, and an adaptive air suspension, aiming to deliver a first-class cabin experience.

In a notable development, Zongheng issued the first batch of emergency navigation experience qualification certificates to early buyers, marking a step toward production of its amphibious variant. The G700至尊航行版 (Supreme Voyage Edition) has completed river crossings and rescue missions, showcasing its ability to traverse both land and water.

The launch also introduced the "Zongheng Realm" annual exploration IP, which focuses on public welfare, user co-creation, and experiential exploration, reinforcing the brand's community-building efforts.

Zongheng's move reflects a broader trend among Chinese automakers to challenge established luxury off-road players, leveraging advanced technology and local manufacturing to expand globally.
