Zhangxue 820X Adventure Bike Launches in China from 46,800 Yuan

Zhangxue's 820X three-cylinder ADV motorcycle has gone on sale in China with prices starting at 46,800 yuan (about $6,600), featuring off-road-ready hardware and advanced rider aids.

Zhangxue has launched its 820X adventure motorcycle in China, with two versions priced at 46,800 yuan (about $6,600) and 57,800 yuan (about $8,100) respectively. The news was reported by the Chinese outlet Chezhiwang, which covers the automotive industry. The base 'Assault' version is scheduled for delivery in 2027, while the higher-spec 'Touring' version is available now.

Off-Road Focused Design

The 820X is positioned as a three-cylinder ADV (adventure) model, aimed at riders who want both highway comfort and off-road capability. It comes in two color options, desert yellow and pearl white, and features a vertically oriented TFT display that is easier to read when standing on the pegs during off-road riding. Keyless start and a Type-C reverse power supply allow riders to charge phones and cameras while camping.

Hardware includes spoked wheels with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, fitted with all-terrain knobby tires to balance road stability and dirt traction. Seat height is adjustable across three levels – 825mm, 865mm, and 910mm – to suit different rider statures. The 27-litre fuel tank provides a range of nearly 500km (about 311 miles) under normal riding, according to the company.

Standard and Touring Equipment

Standard equipment across both versions includes a six-axis IMU with cornering ABS, ride-by-wire throttle, bidirectional quick shifter, heated grips, and front and rear cameras with recording. The bike also comes with factory-installed engine guards, a skid plate, and auxiliary lights.

The Touring version adds a millimetre-wave radar that enables full-speed-range adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring. It also features an automated electronic-hydraulic clutch, hill-start assist, and hill-hold control, along with electronically adjustable suspension.

Power comes from an 818.8cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 85kW (about 114hp). The tuning emphasizes mid-range output, with most torque available from 3,000rpm, making it responsive in low-speed off-road situations.

The 820X enters a growing segment of Chinese adventure motorcycles, competing with models from established domestic brands. Chezhiwang said it will continue to report on further details as they become available.
