Chinese industrial robotics company YouiRobot and Huawei Cloud have jointly launched the CloudRobo embodied AI inspection solution, aimed at energy sector applications. The announcement was made during the Huawei Connect 2026 conference on September 18, according to D1EV, a Chinese electric vehicle and technology news outlet.
The solution is designed to be a scalable, industry-level ecosystem for embodied AI, with YouiRobot focusing on energy scenarios. A benchmark case developed with Huawei Cloud has already been deployed and is operating on a regular basis at the Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid.
As part of the collaboration, YouiRobot has officially joined Huawei Cloud's Industry AI Dream Factory embodied AI zone, participating in the 'Hundreds of Models, Thousands of Forms, Cloud Convergence for Win-Win' ecosystem cooperation plan. The two companies will engage in deep cooperation and ecosystem co-building, integrating YouiRobot's self-developed 'one brain, multiple forms' embodied AI system with Huawei Cloud's CloudRobo platform.
Robots in semiconductors and beyond
Under the 'one brain, multiple forms' architecture, YouiRobot has developed a range of embodied AI robots, including the OW series, ATS series, ARIS series, and Tianyan series. These products have been applied in sectors such as semiconductors, energy and chemicals, lithium batteries, and consumer electronics (3C).
In the semiconductor field, YouiRobot's products have entered more than ten domestic and international wafer fabs, with multiple projects completed at leading substrate, photomask, and packaging and testing companies.
YouiRobot claims to have ranked first globally in the industrial mobile manipulation robot market in 2024. To date, the company has deployed over 800 projects in real industrial settings, served more than 400 companies, and achieved a customer repurchase rate exceeding 70%.
The CloudRobo solution underscores a broader trend of Chinese tech and robotics firms collaborating to bring embodied AI into industrial settings, particularly in energy infrastructure where automated inspection can improve efficiency and safety. For the EV industry, such robotics and AI solutions are increasingly relevant in battery manufacturing and charging infrastructure maintenance.
