Xpeng delivers 41,256 vehicles in September, accelerates global and smart-driving push

Xpeng reported 41,256 deliveries in September, up 5% month-on-month, with the G9L launch and MONA L03 expansion driving growth. The company also rolled out its second-generation VLA system and plans mass production of humanoid robots by year-end.

Xpeng delivered 41,256 vehicles in September, up 5% from August, according to figures released by the company and reported by Chinese outlet First Electric (D1EV). The third-quarter total reached 118,390 units, a 15% sequential increase.

The company's product lineup showed strong momentum. On September 17, Xpeng launched the G9L, a large five-seat SUV positioned as a technology flagship, with a limited-time starting price of 231,800 yuan (about $32,700) in China. The G9L shares its core technology with the GX and comes standard with a premium chassis and over 100 features typically found in 500,000-yuan (about $70,400) vehicles. It is the first model to debut Xpeng's second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) system.

MONA L03 and GX drive volume

The MONA L03, a global model, saw production ramp up, with September deliveries exceeding 10,000 units. It has launched in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia, and Indonesia, with deliveries underway. The car features Xpeng's second-generation VLA driver assistance, smart cockpit, and a dual powertrain option.

The GX, another key model, delivered 7,224 units in September, marking the third consecutive month above 7,000 units. It ranked among the top three large SUVs priced above 300,000 yuan (about $42,300) for the second straight month.

Smart-driving and robotics push

On September 22, Xpeng began rolling out the new version of its second-generation VLA system. The end-side model's parameter count increased 3.5 times, and through architecture optimization and distillation, higher-level capabilities are being extended to more models. The update introduces a Master Agent that integrates VLA and VLM (Vision-Language Model) capabilities, enabling one-sentence navigation and control commands, split-screen interaction, and CarPlay support.

In embodied AI, Xpeng activated the world's first high-volume humanoid robot production line on September 8. On September 22, it held its first robot supply chain partner conference and has signed agreements with suppliers, moving toward production. The company plans to begin mass production of its robots by the end of this year, initially deploying them in Xpeng stores and parks.

As of September 30, Xpeng operated over 4,000 self-owned charging stations, including more than 3,510 ultra-fast stations, with over 22,200 charging points across 430+ cities. On September 15, Xpeng opened its first X-Energy megawatt fast-charging station in Hong Kong, open to all brands. Over the next three years, the company aims to deploy about 10,000 ultra-fast chargers in key international markets.
