SAIC Audi, the joint venture between SAIC and Audi, has introduced a limited-time bundle of four purchase benefits for customers in China, according to PCauto. The headline offer is a lifetime whole-vehicle warranty valued at 20,000 yuan (about $2,800) for new and existing owners, alongside 2,500 yuan (about $350) of free lifetime entertainment data. Trade-in customers can receive up to 12,000 yuan (about $1,700) in subsidies, and existing owners who refer a friend can earn a 2,000 yuan (about $280) reward.
E5 Sportback and E7X in focus
The promotion covers two electric models. The E5 Sportback, launched on September 16, 2025, is a midsize BEV (battery-electric) shooting brake with five variants priced between 235,900 and 319,900 yuan (about $33,200 to $45,100) as Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives. It measures 4,881 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,479 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Inside, a 27-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster form a single curved display unit, running Audi's AUDI OS interface on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The system supports 5G connectivity, four-zone voice recognition, facial recognition, an app store, multi-finger gesture control and remote smartphone control.
The E7X is a larger BEV SUV, built on a 900V high-voltage platform. It is offered with either a single rear motor or dual-motor all-wheel drive, and claims a CLTC range of up to 751 km. That figure is measured under China's CLTC standard, which is roughly 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP cycle, so an equivalent WLTP estimate would be around 600-640 km. The E7X also comes with air suspension and rear-wheel steering.
Sales push in a competitive market
The limited-time offers arrive as SAIC Audi works to strengthen its position in China's crowded electric-vehicle market, where domestic brands and joint ventures are competing aggressively on price and features. The lifetime warranty and free data benefits are designed to reduce ownership costs and build customer loyalty, while the trade-in and referral rewards aim to encourage repeat purchases and word-of-mouth marketing.
PCauto noted that the promotion is part of a broader effort to attract buyers to the two models, which represent SAIC Audi's push into the premium electric segment. The E5 Sportback targets buyers seeking a stylish, tech-rich alternative to traditional sedans, while the E7X appeals to families wanting a spacious, long-range electric SUV.
No sales figures or deadlines for the promotion were disclosed in the report. The offers are limited-time, and customers are advised to check with local dealers for details.
