Parkopedia and Voltality Partner to Deliver Real-Time Charging Data Across Southeast Asia

Parkopedia and Voltality have joined forces to provide automakers, including Chinese EV brands, with standardized real-time charging data across 4,500 stations in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, aiming to ease market entry in the fast-growing region.

Parkopedia, a global connected-car services provider owned by Arrive, has announced a partnership with Voltality, Southeast Asia's first EV charging interoperability platform, to deliver real-time charging data across four of the region's fastest-growing automotive markets. The collaboration, reported by Chinese outlet D1EV, offers automakers—particularly Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers expanding in the region—a ready-made, localized charging solution that can be integrated directly into in-car systems.

The partnership covers 4,500 charging stations, 15,000 charging connectors, and 23 charging point operators (CPOs) across Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. Drivers will receive real-time information on available charging points and connector-level details directly on their vehicle displays.

Solving a Fragmented Market

Southeast Asia's charging infrastructure has historically been fragmented, with inconsistent data quality, making it difficult for automakers to provide reliable and connected experiences. This partnership addresses that by aggregating real-time data from various charging networks and converting it into a consistent, verified data stream delivered to automakers at automotive-grade quality—eliminating manual updates and phantom chargers.

For Chinese automakers, which are leading the global EV transition, offering premium localized digital experiences outside their home market has been a major challenge. With this solution, they can avoid building local data partnerships from scratch and enter the market with a proven, high-quality offering.

The timing is significant. EV adoption in Southeast Asia is outpacing many mature markets. In 2025, electric vehicles accounted for 45% of new car sales in Singapore, 38% in Vietnam, and 21% in Thailand—compared to 33% in the UK and under 10% in the US. Vietnam and Thailand are particularly large potential markets, with populations exceeding 100 million and 70 million respectively.

What the Partners Say

Jaap van den Hoek, head of global partnerships at Parkopedia, said: "EV adoption in Southeast Asia is rising rapidly, but infrastructure lags behind. Through our partnership with Voltality, we can provide high-quality real-time charging data to remove this barrier."

Kristoffer Jacek Soh, CEO of Voltality, added: "A charging station is only valuable if drivers know it exists, it's available, and they can park there. By connecting VoltNet to in-car platforms drivers already trust, every operator on our network becomes discoverable when it matters most."

Charging station operators on Voltality's network will also benefit, as their 15,000 connectors will be displayed in in-car systems across the four markets without any changes to existing infrastructure. Looking ahead, Parkopedia and Voltality plan to expand to more markets in the region and later introduce in-car payment for EV charging, integrating parking and charging into a fully connected end-to-end experience.
