Momenta partners with Shenlong to bring ADAS to Peugeot and Jeep global models

Momenta and Shenlong Automotive Technology have signed a global strategic partnership to co-develop advanced driver assistance systems for Peugeot and Jeep models, marking a milestone for Chinese ADAS firms expanding overseas.

Chinese autonomous driving company Momenta has signed a global strategic partnership with Shenlong Automotive Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. to jointly develop an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) based on Momenta's R7 world model. The system will be installed on new production models from Peugeot and Jeep, with launches planned in China, Europe, and other global markets, according to a report by Gasgoo (盖世汽车).

Beyond a simple supplier relationship

The collaboration goes beyond a typical technology supply deal, adopting a model of co-creation and global sharing. Momenta will be deeply involved in the product definition and full vehicle development process for Peugeot and Jeep, tuning chassis parameters and adapting driving scenarios to suit Peugeot's handling characteristics and Jeep's off-road positioning. This approach aims to bring China's mature driver assistance capabilities to global models from foreign brands.

Momenta was selected after multiple rounds of technical evaluation by Shenlong, with its unified underlying model base being a key advantage. This base can cover Level 2 to Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities and adapt to different road conditions both domestically and overseas, matching the global product development needs of automakers.

The partnership marks two firsts: it is the first time Peugeot and Jeep will offer advanced driver assistance, and it is a significant practice of the 'in China, for the world' development model for Chinese driver assistance companies.

Global expansion and data feedback loop

Through Stellantis's global sales network, Momenta's driver assistance solutions will enter European and other overseas markets. Data from overseas road scenarios will feed back into the world model iteration, creating a positive cycle of technology and data. Momenta has already established partnerships with the world's top 10 automakers, and aims to maintain at least a half-step lead as the global advanced driver assistance industry reaches an inflection point in 2028.

Lyu Haitao, general manager of Shenlong, said the cooperation will combine Peugeot's driving dynamics and Jeep's off-road heritage with advanced intelligent technology, with products launching in China and expanding overseas. Momenta CEO Cao Xudong said the partnership marks recognition of Chinese physical AI technology by international mainstream automakers, and that Chinese AI is becoming an important participant in the global automotive intelligence process.
