Lynk & Co 20 launches from 118,800 yuan with lidar, 800V and 6C charging as standard

Lynk & Co's first battery-electric model, the 20, starts at 118,800 yuan (about $16,700) and makes lidar, an 800V platform and 6C fast charging standard across all five trims.

Lynk & Co has launched its first battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the 20, a compact SUV built on Geely's SEA architecture. The model starts at a limited-time price of 118,800 yuan (about $16,700) and tops out at 158,800 yuan (about $22,400), according to Chinese outlet 电动邦 (Dian Dong Bang).

The headline feature is a full-standard-equipment strategy: every trim includes a lidar sensor, an 800V high-voltage platform, 6C ultra-fast charging and a blowout-stability control system. Such features are usually reserved for mid- and high-spec versions in this segment, and Lynk & Co is using them to differentiate the 20 in China's fiercely competitive 150,000-yuan-class electric SUV market.

Powertrain and charging

The 20 is offered with two battery options, rated at 545 km and 630 km on the optimistic CLTC cycle (roughly 460-535 km WLTP, est.). It uses a 16-in-1 silicon-carbide oil-cooled electric drive unit producing 245 kW (about 328 hp) and accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Energy consumption is rated at 12.1 kWh per 100 km.

With 6C charging, peak power reaches 460 kW, replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in about 12 minutes. The battery, called Shen Dun Jin Zhuan, has passed 36 extreme-condition tests, 23 of which exceed national standards, and the thermal management system keeps the heat pump working at temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius.

Standard ADAS and interior

All versions come with a lidar-based driver assistance suite called Qianli Haohan H5, powered by a Horizon Journey 6M chip and 28 sensing units. It supports urban NOA (city advanced driver assistance), highway NOA and door-to-door navigation assistance, along with parking assistance covering more than 300 parking-space types.

Inside, the 20 runs the LYNK Flyme Auto 2.5 system on a self-developed 4nm chip with 24 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. A 37.5-litre front trunk cooler and a 6.8-litre centre-console refrigerator can stay powered for 24 hours after the car is switched off. The cabin also offers a 23-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof and 36 storage compartments.

The sporty 飞驰 (Feichi) flagship adds a carbon-fibre rear wing that generates 500 N of downforce at 180 km/h, plus a sport body kit and yellow brake caliper covers. Safety equipment includes AEB and AES working at up to 130 km/h, a blowout-stability system that reacts in 100 milliseconds, and a body structure using 2000 MPa hot-formed steel in key areas.

Prices are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives. From September 28 to October 31, customers who lock in an order and take delivery by December 31 can claim a 5,000-yuan trade-in subsidy, a choice of trade-in or finance benefits, a selection fund worth up to 19,598 yuan, and lifetime free NOA service.
