Li Auto has officially confirmed the launch timeline for its 2026 i6 electric SUV, according to NetEase Auto. The vehicle will arrive at showrooms across China on Oct 11, be officially launched on Oct 28, and start customer deliveries in early November. The i6 will also make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show on Oct 12, marking Li Auto's first battery-electric vehicle (BEV) designed for international markets.
The 2026 i6 brings a host of upgrades over its predecessor, including new paint options, an electric front trunk, adaptive driving beam (ADB) headlights, and improvements to the smart cabin, driver assistance, and ride comfort. The exterior has been refined with a front bumper design shared with the new L9 and i9 models, maintaining the brand's family look. Two new colors, Magnetic Blue and Hyacinth Purple, join the palette.
One notable feature is the adoption of the same ADB headlight system used in the new MEGA, Li Auto's flagship MPV. The i6 also gets semi-hidden door handles compliant with new national standards, and offers 20-inch or 21-inch wheels. Dimensions are 4,950 mm long, 1,935 mm wide, and 1,655 mm tall, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase.
Comfort and tech upgrades
Inside, the first row features a 29-inch panoramic display with 6K resolution, which can be split into flexible zones or used full-screen for movies and lyrics. It supports Insta360 cameras and large-screen CarPlay. The second-row screen has been upgraded to 4K resolution, and the cabin adds sky-channel speakers and a vanity mirror for rear passengers. The infotainment runs on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8797 chip, promising smoother interactions.
Seating has been heavily revised. The front seats are full-size zero-gravity units with 16-way power adjustment, including a 4-way power leg rest. They offer 18-point kneading massage covering the cushion and backrest, plus ventilation and heating. The second-row seats now recline from 25 to 50 degrees and come with footrests.
For driver assistance, the i6 features the Mach suite, which includes dual Mach M100 chips delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power. The sensor array comprises four lidar units: one roof-mounted main unit, two side blind-spot units, and one rear blind-spot unit. This setup supports advanced urban NOA (city navigation on assisted driving) functions.
Range and battery
All versions come with a 96 kWh self-developed 5C ultra-fast charging battery. The rear-wheel-drive variant offers a CLTC range of 780 km (approximately 660 km WLTP est.), while the all-wheel-drive version achieves 710 km CLTC (about 600 km WLTP est.). CLTC figures tend to be 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP, so real-world range will be lower.
The electric front trunk, shared with the i9, can be opened by tapping the hood, via smartphone app, or by voice command with speaker recognition. It includes an electric close button inside the lid and a low, accessible opening design for easy loading of heavy items.
Li Auto has not yet announced pricing for the i6. The company is positioning the model as its first global BEV, with the Paris Motor Show appearance signaling its intention to enter European markets. According to NetEase Auto, the i6 represents a significant step in Li Auto's expansion beyond its home market.
