Leapmotor unveils A05 and D19 at Paris show, starts Spanish production

Leapmotor showcased its broadest European lineup at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, including the A05 sedan's European debut and the D19 flagship SUV, and announced that the B10 has entered production at its Zaragoza plant in Spain.

Leapmotor brought its most comprehensive European lineup to the 2026 Paris Motor Show on October 12, unveiling the A05 compact sedan for the European market and showing the D19 flagship SUV. The company also announced that its B10 model has officially gone into production at the Zaragoza plant in Spain, a milestone in its localisation strategy, according to Chinese outlet D1EV.

New models for Europe

The A05, described as a smart and agile compact sedan, made its European debut at the show. Designed for urban lifestyles, it aims to offer flexible space, intelligent technology and strong value, making advanced EV technology accessible at a more affordable price point. Leapmotor said the A05 sets a new benchmark for electric mobility for European consumers.

The D19, a technology-luxury flagship SUV, was also unveiled. It features Leapmotor's latest super range-extender technology, combining long-distance capability with fast-charging performance, and uses a cell-to-body architecture. The D19 is positioned as a global flagship, showcasing the company's progress in intelligent driving, luxury cabin experience and vehicle architecture.

Local production begins

Leapmotor confirmed that the B10 is now being produced at the Zaragoza factory in Spain, a facility co-built with Stellantis. The plant leverages Stellantis' industrial manufacturing expertise and production systems, and is dedicated to building vehicles for the European market. This move is part of Leapmotor's "in Europe, for Europe" strategy, aimed at deepening its regional presence and responding to local demand.

The Paris show marked Leapmotor's largest European exhibition to date, with a 500-square-metre stand displaying its fullest model lineup, along with interactive zones and brand merchandise areas. Additionally, Leapmotor owners can access Stellantis' Free2move Charge ecosystem, giving them access to more than one million public charging points across Europe.

Leapmotor first participated in the Paris Motor Show in 2024. Over the past two years, the brand has expanded its product range, sales and service network, and localisation efforts in Europe. Founder Zhu Jiangming and Leapmotor International CEO Danilo Annese jointly unveiled the new models. Annese outlined the next phase of European strategy, emphasising continuous innovation, deeper localisation and developing electric mobility solutions around consumer needs.
