Huajing Auto reported that its flagship six-seat SUV, the Huajing S, delivered 7,416 units in September, marking a fifth consecutive month of rising deliveries and a new monthly record for the model since its launch. Cumulative deliveries passed the 30,000 mark on September 28, according to PCauto.
The company attributed some delivery pressure to a global chip supply-chain disruption that caused a temporary shortage of the Hongmeng cockpit chip in September, extending wait times for some customers. To mitigate the bottleneck, Huajing introduced a new Hongmeng+ variant of the Huajing S, available in four configurations. The variant comes standard with the HarmonyOS cockpit 5.2 system, featuring the MoLA 2.0 large language model, support for 10 dialect recognitions, and external display connectivity. The move aims to broaden customer choice and maintain delivery momentum.
Positioned as a family-focused intelligent SUV
The Huajing S is positioned in the 200,000-yuan (about $28,200) segment as a large six-seat SUV equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 Pro advanced driver assistance system across all variants. It is designed around four pillars: intelligence, safety, spaciousness, and comfort, targeting the travel needs of multi-member families. The model has built a reputation in the family SUV niche through its differentiated positioning and generous standard equipment.
Huajing Auto said it will continue to refine the product experience and service system, focusing on high-quality travel scenarios for large Chinese families. The company emphasized its commitment to delivering mature and reliable intelligent mobility solutions.
