Hongqi Tiangang 07 opens pre-sales from 169,900 yuan with 800V platform, Siznan ADAS

Hongqi's Tiangang 07 fastback EV starts pre-sales at 169,900 yuan (about $23,900) after limited-time discounts, featuring an 800V architecture, up to 730km CLTC range, and Hongqi's Siznan 5.0 driver assistance system.

Hongqi has opened pre-sales for the Tiangang 07, a battery-electric fastback sedan that slots into the mid-to-large segment, according to Chinese outlet NetEase Auto. The model is offered in three trims with pre-sale prices ranging from 189,900 to 219,900 yuan (about $26,700 to $31,000), but a limited-time promotional price brings the range down to 169,900 to 199,900 yuan (about $23,900 to $28,200). All figures are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives.

800V platform and powertrain

The Tiangang 07 is built on an 800V high-voltage architecture and uses a silicon carbide electric drive system. Buyers can choose between a single-motor rear-drive layout and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The single-motor version produces 340kW (about 456hp) and 450Nm of torque, with 0-100km/h times of 5.6 and 5.8 seconds depending on the variant. The dual-motor version combines a 190kW front motor with a 340kW rear motor for a combined 770Nm, cutting the 0-100km/h sprint to 3.5 seconds.

The car is powered by Hongqi's Xuanyu battery pack, shared with the larger Tiangang 08 SUV. Two capacities are offered - 75kWh and 85kWh - yielding CLTC ranges of 640km, 730km and 680km depending on configuration. Note that CLTC figures tend to be roughly 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP, so expect a WLTP estimate of around 510-620km (est.) in real-world use. Fast charging from 10% to 80% takes no more than 12 minutes.

Smart driving and cabin

The headline feature is Hongqi's Siznan 5.0 driver assistance suite, which uses a 384-line dynamic zoom LiDAR sensor. It supports highway and urban navigation assistance, end-to-end three-point turns, wait-zone crossing, valet parking across floors, and parking-space-to-parking-space navigation - a level of capability the brand calls a high-level combined driving assistance function.

Inside, the Tiangang 07 features a 17.3-inch central touchscreen paired with an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, powered by a Qualcomm 8397 chip rated at 320 TOPS. The cabin runs Hongqi's Lingxi 6.0 software and supports Apple CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar and ICCOA Carlink phone mirroring. A 16-way power-adjustable front passenger seat with heating, ventilation and massage can recline fully to form a roughly 1.6-metre rest surface with the rear seats, which fold in a 40/60 split. An 18-speaker BOSE audio system with 7.1.4 immersive sound and headrest speakers is standard.

The exterior follows what Hongqi calls an Eastern aesthetic with minimalist design, featuring a closed front grille, distinctive headlamps and the brand's classic emblem. The car measures 5,000mm long, 1,915mm wide and 1,490mm tall, with a 3,000mm wheelbase. Body colours include Mozhu Green, Yunxi White, Extreme Night Black and Xuanyue Grey.

Safety-wise, Hongqi says the Tiangang 07 uses a 9H4M cage body with 74% high-strength steel, including 2,000MPa steel in the crash load paths. The roof can withstand nine tonnes of pressure, roughly four times the vehicle's kerb weight.

The Tiangang 07 is positioned as a direct rival to other Chinese fastback EVs in the 170,000-220,000 yuan segment, such as the Xiaomi SU7 and Zeekr 007. Deliveries are expected to begin after the pre-sale period concludes.
