Geely Auto Group showcased its full brand lineup for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, which opened on October 12, and revealed that its three brands—Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr—together sold more than 10,000 vehicles in the European Union in September, a monthly record for the group, according to Gasgoo.
New Models and Market Positioning
The Geely Monjaro EM-i and the Lynk & Co 07 GT made their European debuts at the show, alongside the Galaxy Starship 700, the Zeekr 9X, and the new Zeekr 7X. The Monjaro EM-i is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV featuring a 1.5TD hybrid-specific engine and dual electric motors. The Galaxy Starship 700, which had its global launch just two days before the show, highlights Geely's progress in intelligence and all-terrain technology.
The Lynk & Co 07 GT targets the shooting brake segment, aiming to appeal to European buyers familiar with that body style through its design and interior space. Zeekr is pushing further into the luxury market; its flagship Zeekr 9X is already open for orders in Europe, with deliveries scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Expanding Dealer Networks and Future Plans
Beyond new models, Geely's European retail expansion is a key focus. The Geely brand now operates in 27 European countries with over 450 sales outlets, Lynk & Co covers 25 countries with more than 140 outlets, and Zeekr has extended its presence to 22 European countries.
Starting in January 2027, Volvo Cars will become the exclusive distributor for Lynk & Co in Europe, using its existing sales and service network to help Lynk & Co broaden its reach. This move reflects Geely's strategy to integrate internal resources and reduce the complexity of expanding overseas channels.
The Paris Motor Show this year attracted about 20 Chinese car brands, intensifying competition in the European market. For Geely, the transition from introducing multiple brands to consolidating channel resources marks a phase of scaled-up European operations. However, with shifting trade policies and growing local brand rivalry, converting sales growth into stable market share and sustainable profitability remains the next challenge.
