Geely reveals fourth-generation Boyue L specs with lidar and advanced ADAS

Geely has detailed the fourth-generation Boyue L, offering five fuel versions and three i-HEV hybrid versions, with lidar-equipped 'Qianli' trims featuring the Qianli Haohan H5 ADAS suite.

Geely has released configuration details for its all-new fourth-generation Boyue L, ahead of the model's market launch. According to NetEase Auto, the SUV will be offered in five petrol versions and three i-HEV hybrid versions, with the range-topping 'Qianli' trims of each series coming standard with a lidar sensor and the Qianli Haohan H5 advanced driver assistance system.

The Boyue L has been a strong seller for Geely, with cumulative global sales of 2.45 million units and 14 consecutive months as the best-selling A-segment petrol SUV in China. The new model aims to build on that momentum by adding more technology and hybrid options.

Powertrain and performance

The petrol series includes the Yangfan, Qicheng, Shanhe, and Qianli Jinxiu versions, all powered by a new 1.5TD Pro high-output engine, while the 'Reai' version gets a 2.0TD engine paired with CCD variable damping suspension. The 1.5TD Pro delivers 148 kW (198 hp) and 315 Nm of torque, with a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.69 L/100 km. Geely claims a 0-30 km/h acceleration time of 1.82 seconds, addressing typical turbo lag in petrol engines.

The i-HEV series uses Geely's third-generation oil-electric hybrid technology, combining a 1.5TD hybrid-specific engine with an 11-in-1 integrated electric drive. WLTC fuel consumption is as low as 4.67 L/100 km, with real-world city commuting reportedly dropping to around 3 L/100 km. Combined range on a full tank and charge exceeds 1,200 km.

Interior and ADAS

Inside, the Boyue L features a 15.4-inch 2.5K central touchscreen running Flyme Auto 2.5, a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, AI voice assistant, and an external speaker. The cabin also includes a wireless charging pad and a 16-speaker Flyme Sound audio system.

The Qianli Haohan H5 ADAS suite supports city NOA (navigation on autopilot), highway NOA, and HPA cross-floor valet parking. The AEB system has been upgraded to support braking from up to 130 km/h to a stop for stationary objects, with improved recognition of children in low-light and cross-traffic scenarios.

Exterior updates include a larger front grille, new wheel designs, and a black floating roof. The car retains its signature through-type tail lights and adds double-layer sound-insulated front glass.
