Geely Automobile Group made its first group appearance at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, presenting models from its Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr brands as the trio's combined European Union sales topped 10,000 units in September for the first time, according to Gasgoo.
The show marked the European debut of the Geely Monjaro EM-i and the Lynk & Co 07GT, alongside the Galaxy Flagship 700, the Zeekr 9X and the new Zeekr 7X. The Monjaro EM-i is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV powered by a 1.5TD hybrid-specific engine and dual electric motors. The Galaxy Flagship 700, unveiled globally on October 10, showcased Geely's work in intelligent driving and all-terrain technology.
Channel expansion ahead of new models
Lynk & Co's 07GT targets the shooting-brake segment, using design and interior space to enter a market niche familiar to European buyers. Zeekr continues its push upmarket, with its flagship 9X now open for pre-orders in Europe and deliveries scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Geely's European channel growth may matter more than the new cars. The Geely brand has entered 27 European countries with more than 450 sales outlets; Lynk & Co covers 25 countries with over 140 outlets; and Zeekr operates in 22 European countries.
From January 2027, Volvo Cars will become Lynk & Co's exclusive distributor in Europe, using its existing sales and service network to support wider market coverage. The move signals Geely's effort to consolidate group resources and lower the difficulty of expanding overseas channels.
Scale-up phase in a crowded market
About 20 Chinese car brands exhibited at this year's Paris Motor Show, intensifying competition in the European market. For Geely, from multi-brand product launches to channel integration, its European business is entering a phase of scaled expansion.
Still, with shifting trade policy and rising competition from local brands, turning sales growth into stable market share and operating returns remains the question for the next stage, Gasgoo noted.
