Geely's Galaxy brand will officially launch the Warship 700, an AI-equipped full-terrain mid-to-large SUV, on October 10, according to Chinese auto news outlet Chezhiwang. Pre-sales have already begun, with prices ranging from 199,800 to 389,800 yuan (about $28,100 to $54,900) as Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives.
The Warship 700 is positioned as a hardcore off-road SUV with a boxy, imposing design language that Geely calls "Eastern Awakening Lion." The signature "Sky Eye" headlamp cluster features a large number of light-emitting units for high visual recognition. Buyers can opt for a roof-mounted lidar, which supports the G-ASD Qianli Haohan advanced driver assistance system, including urban NOA (city-level assisted driving), highway NOA, and fully automatic parking across various scenarios. This brings high-level intelligent driving to the rugged SUV segment.
The exterior comes in six exclusive colors, including Danxia orange, Motuo green, and Sayram Lake blue, catering to individual preferences. Inside, the cabin emphasizes a luxury-tech off-road theme with ventilated and heated seats across all rows, a large panoramic sunroof, and, on higher trims, satellite communication, diffuse oxygen supply, and wading sensors for extreme-condition protection. The interior aims to balance family comfort with outdoor adventure needs.
Under the hood, the Warship 700 offers two plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains based on Geely's Thor EM-T off-road hybrid system: a 1.5T and a 2.0T version. The most anticipated 2.0T three-motor four-wheel-drive variant features a 160 kW (about 215 hp) engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined system output of 830 kW (about 1,113 hp). It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.95 seconds and includes a rear mechanical differential lock, supporting professional off-road functions such as "waltz turn" and crab walk mode.
Battery and range
All versions come standard with a 47.14 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL. The CLTC-rated pure electric range reaches up to 305 km (WLTP est. around 244-259 km), with a combined range of up to 1,770 km. Note that CLTC figures are typically 15-20% more optimistic than WLTP results.
The chassis uses a native integrated ladder-frame body, with double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension. Higher trims add active hydraulic suspension, continuously controlled damping (CCD) shock absorbers, and an AI "magic carpet" preview system, aiming to blend urban ride comfort with capability on rough, unpaved roads. Chezhiwang says it will continue to report on further details about the Warship 700 as they emerge.
