Gai Shi Auto CEO Zhou Xiaoying completes Shanghai private-enterprise leadership programme

Zhou Xiaoying, CEO of automotive data and information platform Gai Shi Auto, joined 5 days of training with fellow private entrepreneurs in Shanghai, focusing on macro trends, innovation and management.

Zhou Xiaoying, chief executive of automotive industry data and information platform Gai Shi Auto, has completed a five-day executive training programme for private entrepreneurs in Shanghai, according to Chinese EV news outlet First Electric (D1EV).

Training focused on macro trends and management

The 23rd Shanghai Private Entrepreneur Training Class, held at the Shanghai Party School, brought together business leaders from different sectors for courses on macro conditions, the development of the private economy, corporate innovation and business management. The curriculum combined case teaching with interactive discussion, guiding participants to understand the operating environment from policy, economic and industrial perspectives.

For Zhou, whose career has been rooted in the auto industry, the programme offered a chance to step outside a single-industry viewpoint and observe corporate development and industrial change from a wider angle. During the sessions, she shared industry observations with entrepreneurs from other fields and exchanged views on topics including corporate innovation, industrial development and market shifts.

Auto industry at a transition point

Zhou said the biggest takeaway was the opportunity to temporarily set aside the day-to-day perspective of running an auto business and rethink, from a more macro standpoint, the relationship between companies and their era, and between industry and society. Practical experiences shared by entrepreneurs from other sectors also reinforced her view that, amid rapid external change, companies must keep sharp judgement on trends while building long-term foundations patiently.

For Gai Shi Auto, Zhou said the company will continue to focus on its core automotive business, improve its capabilities in a changing market, and actively expand industry, regional and cooperation boundaries. The company aims to gain new insights through exchanges and serve industrial development with a longer-term view.

The auto industry is going through an accelerated phase of electrification, intelligence and globalisation, with industrial boundaries expanding and the market environment and development challenges facing companies constantly shifting, the report noted. Although the five-day programme has ended, learning and exchange will continue, with Gai Shi Auto maintaining attention on industry trends and market changes while strengthening connections with enterprises and partners across sectors.

Gai Shi Group describes itself as a leading industrial data and information services platform based in China with global reach, focused on the automotive sector while incubating new tracks such as robotics and low-altitude aircraft. Its mission, it says, is to "discover good companies, promote good technology and empower industry professionals", offering supply-chain matching, strategic analysis, branding, going-global support and system resources to address information asymmetry and support corporate globalisation.
