FAW Audi, the joint venture between Volkswagen's Audi brand and FAW Group, partnered with the Kunming Audi MJ-CLUB owner club to deliver winter bedding, new school uniforms and festival gift packages to students at Suzu Primary School in Jianshui County, Yunnan province, ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, according to NetEase Auto.
The donation, held on the eve of the festival, was led by Ma Jiao, founder of the Kunming Audi MJ-CLUB. Ma, a self-described Audi enthusiast, bought her first Audi Q5 in 2015 and added an Audi A7 in 2022. She established the club in 2019, initially as a social circle for driving and travel, before steering it toward rural charity work.
Owner-led charity expands over four years
In 2022, the club organised its first school-supply convoy, delivering books, stationery and winter clothing to children in Wuding County. Over the following four years, the group visited schools in Kunming, Jianshui and Xuanwei, mobilising nearly 400 Audi owners to raise more than 70,000 yuan (about $9,900) and support hundreds of rural students.
Suzu Primary School, nestled deep in the mountains of Panjiang Township, is a typical village school where limited resources force students to share classes. Many pupils are left-behind children, a term for those whose parents work away from home, and face real gaps in daily necessities.
FAW Audi said it has supported each of the club's charity missions. In 2025, the company established a customer-care fund designed to back owners engaged in public welfare. After learning of Ma's long-running efforts, FAW Audi granted her专属 care benefits through the fund and issued a certificate of honour.
Brand backs teachers and owners alike
For the Suzu visit, FAW Audi and the club rallied more than 100 owners to contribute, with all proceeds going toward the bedding, uniforms and festival packages. The company also used the customer-care fund to offer tokens of respect to teachers at the school and commemorative benefits to owners who have consistently volunteered.
At the donation ceremony, materials and gifts were handed out to teachers and students, who wore their new uniforms and held festival packages. Afterwards, owners and children gathered to make mooncakes and play games, celebrating the festival early in the mountain campus.
"We came together because of Audi, not only to share passion and joy, but also to do something meaningful and let that passion reach more people in need," Ma said. FAW Audi said it will continue to uphold a long-term, altruistic philosophy, using the customer-care fund as a bridge to support owners who give back to their communities.
