Faraday Future's robotics unit to go public at $200 million valuation

Faraday Future's robotics arm, FF EAI Robotics, is set to merge with Nasdaq-listed AIxC, valuing the unit at about $200 million. The deal will create a new entity focused on embodied AI robotics, while the parent company shifts toward becoming a Physical AI investment holding firm.

Faraday Future's robotics subsidiary is set to go public through a merger with a Nasdaq-listed shell company, valuing the unit at approximately $200 million, according to Chinese automotive outlet Gasgoo.

The merger, announced on September 28, will see AIxC, a Nasdaq-listed company, combine with FF EAI Robotics. Under the terms of the agreement, 100% of the robotics company's equity will be injected into AIxC at a valuation of around $200 million, with the transaction settled in AIxC shares. Upon completion, AIxC will be renamed FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc., and its stock ticker will change from AIXC to FFR, effective September 30. The company's existing crypto business will be fully divested, and the firm will pivot entirely to the embodied AI robotics ecosystem. FFAI will become the single largest shareholder of FFR.

According to Gasgoo, the robotics division has already launched 24 products across three form factors in under a year, all of which have passed FCC certification and are being delivered. As of the end of August, cumulative robot unit sales and shipments reached 552, with an average gross margin for the second quarter exceeding 30% and cumulative revenue of approximately $1.52 million.

Three other business lines in progress

Beyond the robot hardware, the company is advancing its EAI self-developed brain into engineering testing and delivery, with the developer platform 1.0 now live. Its data factory has completed an initial commercial loop, running the first batch of real-world data collection and training. The industry productivity solutions cover four scenarios, and the RoboShare sharing platform has secured multiple paid orders.

The company projects that it will achieve positive operating cash flow in a single quarter by the third quarter of 2028, with a cumulative five-year revenue target of $1.98 billion. Gross margin is expected to rise to around 50% by 2030, and cumulative robot unit sales over five years are targeted to exceed 130,000 units, with R&D investment of about $300 million.

The "Built In USA" acceleration plan has entered its second phase, with a robot factory aiming to be operational by the end of this year. The first EAI product is expected to roll off the line in the first quarter of 2027. FFR's five-year goal is to maintain a top-three ranking in the EAI robot ecosystem.

FFAI shifts to Physical AI investment, cars pivot to Robotaxi

While the robotics business is being spun off and listed, FFAI is repositioning itself as a Physical AI investment and incubation holding company. Its automotive business will undergo three strategic shifts: becoming a Robotaxi operator and connecting to the Cybercab network; exporting its self-developed intelligent cockpit solutions to other smart vehicles; and integrating its own models into the Robotaxi network.

Faraday Future said its accumulated expertise in intelligent cockpit technology, shared mobility operations, and ecosystem incubation will support these transformations.
