Dongfeng Nissan launches refreshed N7 BEV from 109,900 yuan, adds 33 upgrades

Dongfeng Nissan's new N7 electric sedan launches in six trims, with a limited-time price from 109,900 yuan (about $15,500), featuring a lidar-equipped version and 33 upgrades across design, comfort and quality.

Dongfeng Nissan has launched the refreshed N7 battery-electric sedan in China, offering six trims with limited-time prices starting at 109,900 yuan (about $15,500), according to NetEase Auto. The new model arrives with 33 upgrades spanning exterior design, cabin comfort and overall build quality, and includes a lidar-equipped version for advanced driver assistance.

Pricing and trims

The six versions are priced as follows, all limited-time offers: the 625Max lidar version at 139,900 yuan (about $19,700), the 510Max lidar version and 625Pro both at 129,900 yuan (about $18,300), the 510Pro at 119,900 yuan (about $16,900), and the entry-level 510Air at 109,900 yuan (about $15,500). These are Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives.

Dongfeng Nissan also introduced a special Black Knight edition based on the 625Max lidar trim, priced at 146,900 yuan (about $20,700). It adds an e-Damper electronically controlled suspension, a premium audio system, a dedicated red-and-black interior, a glowing NISSAN badge with integrated headlights, and a full sport body kit. The company said the lidar versions offer more value at a lower price, describing the move as "more features for less money."

Purchase incentives announced at the launch include a 3,000-yuan deposit that counts as 5,000 yuan for orders placed by October 7, trade-in subsidies of 5,000 yuan for Dongfeng Nissan owners and 3,000 yuan for other brands, stackable with a national subsidy of up to 12,000 yuan. Financing options include a two-year zero-interest plan, low-interest terms from zero down payment, and a five-year plan with 20 percent down. A new green-teal paint option valued at 2,000 yuan is free for a limited time.

Design, comfort and safety

The N7 measures 4,930 mm long, 1,895 mm wide and 1,487 mm tall, with a 2,915 mm wheelbase. It carries 710 high-power LED light sources and 882 OLED units in the rear, with interactive light displays that let owners upload custom patterns and text. The cabin achieves 83 percent space efficiency, which Dongfeng Nissan says delivers mid-size exterior dimensions with larger-class interior space.

The front seats feature 49 sensors and 12 massage airbags with 60 N of massage force, with AI algorithms that adapt more quickly, cutting response time by 10 seconds. Rear seats gain ventilation, heating and a control screen, so all four seats share the same comfort features. The battery pack has passed 146 safety tests, including an industry-first four-needle multi-cell thermal runaway test, drop, crush and fire tests, according to the company.

The N7 uses a "five-beam ten-column" ultra-high-strength steel cage body, with A-pillars made of 2,000 MPa hot-formed steel. The cabin uses water-based eco-friendly materials that have earned a zero-formaldehyde certification from the China Automotive Technology and Research Center.

For driver assistance, the N7 is equipped with the Momenta R7 world model and 29 sensors including a lidar, with anti-motion-sickness tuning to reduce jerky acceleration and body pitch. It also draws on Formula E-derived chassis technology for torque vectoring, braking management and suspension tuning. Active safety features now include automatic emergency steering and an upgraded automatic emergency braking system, for 22 active safety functions in total.

Dongfeng Nissan said the N7 completed more than 100,000 km of road testing across 25 cities in three countries before launch. The first batch of N7 vehicles built in China shipped to Southeast Asia on September 11, with Latin America planned as the next export market.
