Changan's Nevo brand enters Europe at Paris show, expands hybrid lineup

Changan unveiled its Nevo (Qiyuan) brand for Europe at the Paris Motor Show, with the Q05 SUV launching in Spain and Italy in Q1 2027, alongside expanded hybrid models and a European service network.

At the Paris Motor Show, which opened on October 12, Changan showcased its Nevo (Qiyuan), Deepal, and Avatr brands, announcing a broader European product lineup and localized service network. The Nevo brand, known as CHANGAN NEVO, officially entered the European market with its first model, the Q05, scheduled for launch in early 2027.

According to D1EV, Changan brought three Nevo models to Paris – the Q05, Q06, and A06 – targeting mainstream family buyers. The Q05 will be the first to reach Europe, entering Spain and Italy in the first quarter of 2027. The company also displayed the Deepal S07 PHEV (plug-in hybrid), the right-hand-drive S05 PHEV, and the Changan CS55PLUS Blue Whale HEV, alongside the global debut of the Avatr T09 concept.

Hybrid tech for European tastes

Changan showcased its Blue Whale hybrid technology, which covers HEV (hybrid electric), PHEV, and REEV (range-extender) powertrains, to suit varied European driving needs. The company also introduced its "With U" service system for Europe. It has established four regional parts distribution centers in the Netherlands, the UK, and Spain, claiming a parts availability rate above 97%, and plans to offer pan-European roadside assistance.

By the end of 2026, Changan aims to have more than 350 sales and service outlets across 15 European countries, expanding to 650 by 2027. This year, the company added three national sales subsidiaries in the UK, Spain, and Italy, bringing its European subsidiary count to eight. Changan General Manager Zhao Fei reiterated the company's "in Europe, for Europe" localization strategy.

As Chinese automakers accelerate their European entry, competition is shifting from products and pricing to channels, services, and local operations. For Changan, integrating the Nevo brand into its European portfolio and converting its multi-brand strategy into stable sales while building a sustainable service network will be the key test ahead, according to D1EV.
