Changan's electric-vehicle brand Deepal will launch the 2027 L06 on October 9, according to a report from NetEase Auto. The mid-cycle refresh brings upgrades to handling, smart cabin features, and driver assistance, alongside a new sporty 'Zhuifeng' (wind-chasing) edition developed from user feedback.
Sporty Zhuifeng edition
The Zhuifeng edition is based on modifications made by owners, now offered as an official factory package. It features a bright yellow paint scheme, carbon-fiber rear spoiler, side skirts, front splitter, and rear diffuser, plus new five-spoke wheels with yellow brake calipers and semi-hidden door handles. Deepal says the aerodynamic parts improve vehicle dynamics.
Technology and powertrain
The 2027 L06 will come with a suite of safety and convenience features, including start-stop assistance, obstacle warning on pull-away, water-depth avoidance when parking, door-opening warning, smart sentry mode, environment-based recommendations, video risk tagging, smart car-finding, person/object recognition, and on-device memory of driving habits (with optional AI BOX). Cabin tech is also said to be upgraded.
Powertrain options remain battery-electric and range-extender (EREV). The BEV uses a rear-mounted single motor producing 200 kW (about 268 hp), with CLTC ranges of 560 km (about 476 km WLTP est.) (about 348 miles) or 670 km (about 416 miles). The EREV pairs a 1.5-liter engine (72 kW, about 97 hp) as a generator with a 175 kW (about 235 hp) rear motor, offering a CLTC electric-only range of 245 km (about 152 miles).
According to NetEase Auto, the new L06 will go on sale in China on October 9, with pricing to be announced at launch.
