Buick Zhijing E7 refresh cuts price to 147,900 yuan, makes 44 comfort features standard

Buick's Zhijing E7 family SUV gets a refreshed lineup starting at 147,900 yuan (about $20,800) with 44 comfort features standard, a new 1.5T plug-in hybrid version, and a focus on family health features.

Buick has refreshed its Zhijing E7 family SUV with a lower entry price and a wider standard equipment list, according to NetEase Auto. The new lineup starts at 147,900 yuan (about $20,800) and tops out at 187,900 yuan (about $26,500), Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives, with a limited-time trade-in offer.

Health-focused cabin becomes standard

The Zhijing E7, the first SUV under Buick's premium Zhijing electric sub-brand, now makes 44 comfort and health features standard across all trims. These include a five-constant climate system covering temperature, humidity, oxygen, cleanliness and quietness, plus seats certified to the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I for infant contact. The cabin also carries a zero-formaldehyde certification, electromagnetic protection certification and NESTA six-dimension electric safety certification.

The move responds to feedback from the 30,000 households that have bought the E7 since launch, the company said. Buick said 80% of buyers are married couples with children and 60% traded in from joint-venture petrol models. The E7 has been the best-selling new-energy SUV above 150,000 yuan among joint-venture brands for four consecutive months, and reached 30,000 deliveries in five months, making it the fastest joint-venture new-energy model to hit that milestone.

The cabin also includes a triple-screen setup with TUV Rheinland low-blue-light certification, a zero-gravity passenger seat, an ionized cool box and active noise cancellation. Buick says the E7 was named a 2026 low-wind-noise model for its acoustic package and laminated glass.

New Pro trim adds 1.5T hybrid power

Buick added a 1600 Super Full-Spec Pro trim that pairs a 165 kW electric motor with a 1.5T hybrid engine, giving a 0-100 km/h time of 7 seconds. The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain delivers a CLTC electric-only range of 230 km (about 196 km WLTP est.) and a combined range of 1,600 km, with a 30-80% fast charge in 15 minutes. The Pro trim also includes the Xiaoyao Zhixing assisted-driving system, built on Momenta's reinforcement-learning model, offering highway and city NOA (navigate-on-autopilot) plus automated parking.

Buyers can also choose the top-spec 1600 Super Full-Spec Turbo, which adds predictive continuously variable damping suspension, anti-motion-sickness tuning and Michelin ePrimacy tyres. New exterior colours Zhijing Green and Danmu Pink join the palette, along with a Xia Ying Fei Hong red interior option.

Buick is offering a five-part purchase package including a deposit expansion from 1,000 yuan to 6,000 yuan, trade-in subsidies of 10,000 yuan for Buick, Chevrolet or Cadillac owners and 7,000 yuan for other brands, plus free compulsory insurance, a driver-assist insurance policy with up to 5 million yuan coverage and a battery fire insurance policy worth 5,000 yuan. First owners who are not commercial users get a lifetime warranty on the battery, motor and electronic control system.

The refresh positions the E7 as Buick's answer to what it calls the fourth-generation cabin era, where health and AI define the family car interior. The company said the cabin AI, powered by a Doubao large language model, will continue to improve via over-the-air updates.
