Avatr used the 2026 Paris Motor Show, which opened on October 12, to reveal three models and confirm its European market entry plan. The Chinese premium EV brand, backed by Changan, Huawei and CATL, will officially enter Europe in 2027, with Norway and Spain among the first markets, according to Gasgoo, as reported by D1EV.
Flagship T09 concept debuts
The star of Avatr's Paris stand was the T09 concept, which made its global debut on October 11. Positioned as the first model in a new flagship series, the T09 is a luxury SUV targeting the 500,000 yuan price bracket (about $70,400, a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives). The production version is scheduled to launch in China during 2026. With the T09, Avatr will run two product lines - its existing digital series and the new flagship series - as it pushes further upmarket.
Design highlights of the T09 include a sculpted grille, crystal-cut LED lighting and a full-width rear light bar. Inside, the cabin features a three-screen display setup and a retractable "Vortex" emotional interaction device equipped with 118 RGB LED light sources, aimed at enhancing the in-car experience.
Technically, the T09 integrates technology from Changan, Huawei and CATL. It uses Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system and Taihang chassis control technology. The powertrain combines a 2.0-litre turbo hybrid engine with a three-motor distributed electric drive system, delivering total system output exceeding 1,000 hp (745 kW). The car is fitted with a 71.24 kWh CATL battery, giving a CLTC electric-only range of up to 400 km (about 250 miles). CLTC figures are typically 15-20 percent more optimistic than WLTP, so the equivalent WLTP range would be roughly 320-340 km (est.).
07L and 06T head to Europe first
Avatr also displayed the 07L, a large five-seat luxury SUV equipped with Huawei's ADS 5 Qiankun intelligent driving system, HarmonyOS cockpit and an 89.33 kWh CATL battery. The 06T, a sporty sedan, comes with Huawei's Qiankun driver assistance system and Taihang distributed electric drive.
According to the plan, Avatr will introduce the 07L and 06T to Europe first in 2027. The brand's overseas operations currently cover 70 countries and regions, with a target of expanding to more than 110 by 2030.
Avatr's bigger challenge in Europe, however, will come after the show. Building competitive local sales channels, after-sales service networks and pricing will be critical to the success of its premium strategy, Gasgoo noted.
