Avatr, the premium electric vehicle brand backed by Changan and Huawei, has launched the 06T Shooting Brake Knight Edition in China. The new variant is priced at 246,900 yuan (about $34,800) after limited-time purchase benefits, according to Chinese outlet D1EV. The standard Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives is not disclosed in the source.
Design and Powertrain
The Knight Edition features a unique two-tone exterior in purple and black, inspired by the peregrine falcon's diving posture, along with a 20-inch forged wheel design and a knight emblem. Inside, the cabin offers a dual-tone purple and white theme, with embroidered headrests and laser-engraved knight motifs on the B-pillars.
Under the skin, the 06T Knight Edition is equipped with Avatr's Taihang distributed electric drive system, featuring dual rear motors that deliver a combined peak output of 502 kW (about 673 hp). The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.85 seconds. The system can adjust torque distribution between the rear wheels up to 1,000 times per second, enhancing stability during high-speed cornering and emergency maneuvers. The car also includes features such as one-press acceleration, launch control, and a drift mode.
Technology and Safety
As a strategic collaboration model with Huawei, the 06T Knight Edition comes with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance system, which includes a 896-line LiDAR—the highest-resolution unit in mass production globally, according to the source. The system supports navigation-assisted driving on non-standard roads such as roundabouts, rural dirt roads, and open plazas. It also features Huawei's CAS 5.0 collision avoidance, capable of braking from 130 km/h on wet surfaces.
The interior is highlighted by a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display, dual zero-gravity front seats, and a 25-speaker Meridian audio system. The car rides on an 800V silicon-carbide platform with CATL's 5C ultra-fast charging battery. Rear seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and a nano-water ion air conditioning system is included.
The 06T Knight Edition is available for order through Avatr's app, website, and physical stores. Deliveries are expected to begin after the order period, which runs until October 8, 2026.
