Arcfox September sales hit 21,518 units, Q1-Q3 deliveries pass 135,000

Arcfox, the EV brand backed by BAIC, sold 21,518 cars in September, up 33.87% year on year, and delivered 135,475 units in the first nine months of 2026, a 54.28% increase, according to Gasgoo.

Arcfox, the electric-vehicle brand backed by Chinese state-owned automaker BAIC, sold 21,518 cars in September, breaking the 20,000-unit monthly mark for the first time, according to data published by Gasgoo and republished by D1EV.

The September result represents a 33.87% jump compared with the same month last year. In the first nine months of 2026, Arcfox delivered 135,475 vehicles, up 54.28% year on year, the data shows.

Growth in a crowded market

The sales figures come as China's new-energy vehicle market sees rising penetration, with automakers locked in price wars and rapid product launches. Arcfox's ability to sustain monthly deliveries above 20,000 units suggests steady end-market demand for its current lineup, which includes the Arcfox Alpha S and Alpha T models as well as the Kaola family-oriented BEV (battery-electric) model.

Arcfox is one of several Chinese EV brands competing in the mainstream and mid-premium segments. Its parent BAIC has positioned the brand as a technology-focused player, with models built on dedicated EV platforms and featuring connected-car and driver-assistance systems.

The cumulative growth of more than 50% in the first three quarters underscores both product competitiveness and channel execution, Gasgoo noted. The brand's performance in the final quarter will be closely watched as the industry enters its traditional sales peak season and automakers push to hit annual targets.

Context and outlook

Arcfox's September sales put it among the mid-tier of China's EV brands by monthly volume, behind leaders such as BYD, Geely's Zeekr and Xpeng, but ahead of many smaller players. The brand has been expanding its dealership network and rolling out new variants to broaden appeal beyond its early focus on premium sedans.

For the fourth quarter, Arcfox faces the challenge of sustaining momentum amid intensifying competition and year-end discounting across the industry. Whether it can extend the growth trend through December will depend on its ability to keep production and delivery volumes aligned with demand, Gasgoo said.

The figures were released on October 1 and cover sales to dealers and end customers, a common reporting method in China's auto industry. Arcfox did not provide a breakdown by model or powertrain type in the announcement.
