Angchuang Tech, a Chinese supplier focused on intelligent fully active suspension systems, has completed a Series A funding round of 100 million yuan (about $14.1 million), according to the company's announcement carried by Chinese outlet D1EV. The capital will go toward multi-vehicle customisation development, full-vehicle validation and expanding its core engineering team, as the company prepares for volume deliveries of its fully active hydraulic suspension.
The company said its mass-production base in Changxing, Zhejiang province, has officially gone into operation this year. The facility spans 7,000 square metres and includes a fully automated production line with reliability and quality laboratories. A digital MES (manufacturing execution system) tracks quality information for every product, supporting stable and consistent mass production, the company said.
From supplier to core partner
Angchuang has also added the IATF 16949 automotive quality management system certification this year, building on its existing ISO 9001 certification, which it says helps clear the entry barrier for supplying automakers. The company holds 70 core patents, has been named a leading talent enterprise twice, and retains national high-tech enterprise status, according to the announcement.
The company's technology focus includes millisecond-level dynamic response control algorithms, hydraulic suspension without air springs, and fully active suspension integrated with MacPherson strut layouts. It describes fully active hydraulic suspension as a next-generation intelligent chassis technology that offers faster response, lower cost and longer service life than conventional passive suspension systems.
Industry expects 2026 to be the year of active suspension
Industry observers widely regard 2026 as the first year for fully active suspension in cars, the company said. As new-energy vehicles shift toward greater intelligence and comfort, suspension systems have evolved from passive support components into core actuators that determine ride quality and driving safety, it argued.
Angchuang's current priority is to stabilise and optimise its production line so that every step meets the demands of batch orders, before ramping up delivery volumes. The company said it will continue to deepen its work in intelligent fully active suspension and push Chinese intelligent chassis technology into broader markets.
The announcement did not disclose the names of participating investors or a valuation for the round.
