Chinese automaker Zongheng has launched the 2027 G700, a luxury plug-in hybrid SUV, with prices starting at 304,900 yuan (about $42,900) after limited-time discounts. The official guide price range is 329,900 to 442,900 yuan (about $46,500 to $62,400), before taxes and incentives, according to NetEase Auto.
Design and interior
The G700 retains the rugged body-on-frame construction of its predecessor but adopts a more refined aesthetic, with new paint options such as matte Gaoligong Green. The interior features a 77-inch multi-screen system, including a 35.4-inch panoramic display and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip. The Zongheng OS 2.0 integrates a large language model for voice control.
Powertrain and off-road capability
Under the hood, the G700 uses a 2.0T turbocharged engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system, delivering a combined 665 kW (892 hp) and 1,135 Nm of torque. It features a three-motor setup and a claimed fuel consumption of 7.95 L/100 km when the battery is depleted. The SUV comes standard with three locking differentials and an adaptive air suspension with five height settings.
Driver assistance
The G700 is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver assistance system, which includes a lidar and a forward automatic emergency braking system that operates from 1 to 150 km/h. The system can reduce collision risk by 50%, according to the company.
The 2027 G700 is available in five- and six-seat configurations, with dimensions of 5,198 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width, and 1,956 mm in height, on a 2,870 mm wheelbase. It competes in the premium SUV segment in China, where plug-in hybrids are gaining popularity.
