Xpeng expands dealer network to four new countries, global reach now 83 markets

Xpeng has signed distribution agreements with local partners in Nigeria, Oman, Kuwait and Albania, extending its global sales network to 83 countries and regions as it accelerates Middle East and Africa expansion.

Chinese electric-vehicle maker Xpeng has signed distribution agreements with local partners in four new countries, extending its global sales network to 83 countries and regions, according to Chinese automotive outlet Gasgoo.

The agreements, signed between September and October, cover Nigeria, Oman, Kuwait and Albania, spanning the Gulf, West Africa and the Western Balkans. The deals lay the groundwork for future model introductions, brand building and after-sales service networks in those markets, Xpeng said.

Deal timeline and regional strategy

According to the signing schedule, the Albania agreement was signed on September 1 in Guangzhou, China. The Nigeria and Oman agreements were signed on September 21 and 24 in Dubai, respectively. On October 26, Xpeng and its Kuwait partner completed the signing at a local showroom.

Oman and Kuwait are both members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the two agreements will further consolidate Xpeng's presence in the Gulf region. Nigeria, with its large consumer base, is a key node for Xpeng's expansion into West Africa, while Albania opens up the Western Balkans market.

Going forward, Xpeng will rely on local partners to introduce models and develop sales channels, and will bring its smart cockpit and advanced driver assistance technologies to these markets.

Faster Middle East and Africa push

In 2026, Xpeng is accelerating its expansion in the Middle East and Africa. The brand has launched in four more markets: Morocco, Tunisia, Bahrain and Mauritius. Mauritius marks Xpeng's first right-hand-drive market in the Middle East and Africa region, adapted to local regulations and consumer habits.

With these additions, Xpeng's global sales network now covers 83 countries and regions, the company said. The expansion is part of a broader push by Chinese EV makers to establish a presence in emerging markets as competition intensifies at home.
