Zeekr has officially launched deliveries of its 7X electric SUV in South Korea, with the first customer coming from SK Group, according to PCauto. The Korean conglomerate said it was pleased to witness the moment with Zeekr Korea and that additional vehicles will be used in various corporate scenarios.
Korean launch details
The Zeekr 7X is priced from 52.99 million won in South Korea, equivalent to about 267,000 yuan (roughly $37,600) - a Chinese guide price before taxes and incentives. The model opened for pre-orders on June 5 and surpassed 1,000 orders within a month, with high- and mid-spec trims accounting for 94 percent of bookings.
Zeekr Korea plans to operate 14 showrooms and 11 service centers across the country, including on Jeju Island, by the end of 2026, building out its sales, delivery and after-sales network.
Global momentum
Beyond Korea, the Zeekr 7X delivered 12,041 units globally in September 2026, pushing cumulative deliveries past 200,000 units. From January to September 2026, the model ranked first in its segment in Malaysia and Mexico, and topped sales of luxury midsize SUVs priced above 300,000 yuan in Australia for eight consecutive months.
The Korean market entry comes as rising AI computing demand boosts the global memory chip industry, lifting the stock prices of major South Korean storage firms and increasing employee dividend income, which has turned local tech workers' attention toward Chinese premium car brands.
The Zeekr 7X is a battery-electric SUV (BEV) that competes in the premium midsize segment. Its strong order book in Korea suggests growing acceptance of Chinese EVs in a market traditionally dominated by domestic brands such as Hyundai and Kia, as well as imported German models.
