Voyah Dreamer 9 becomes first high-end MPV collected by Beijing Auto Museum

Voyah's Dreamer 9 MPV has been inducted into the Beijing Auto Museum, marking the first time a high-end MPV has entered a national-level automotive collection. The event, held on October 19, also showcased the brand's design philosophy and its growing market presence with over 200,000 cumulative users.

Voyah's flagship MPV, the Dreamer 9, has been formally collected by the Beijing Auto Museum, making it the first high-end MPV to enter a national-level automotive collection in China. The handover ceremony took place on October 19 during a "Design Heritage, Creating the Future" designer night event, where the museum issued a collection certificate to the automaker, according to Sina Auto.

A milestone for Chinese MPV design

The Beijing Auto Museum, a national first-class museum dedicated to recording the evolution of the automotive industry, described the acquisition as a recognition of the Dreamer 9's original design and its representation of China's progress in the premium MPV segment. Liu Jingquan, the museum's party secretary and curator, said at the event that the value of a museum lies not in its architecture or artifacts alone, but in its ideas, vision, and values, and that the designer night extended that philosophy by bringing designers together among classic vehicles.

Voyah also donated the original design sketches of the Dreamer 9 to the museum. Zhan Jingjing, deputy secretary-general of the China Society of Automotive Engineers, called the donation a "cultural relay across industry, academia, and research," noting that what is being preserved is not just a car and drawings, but a design lineage being written into public memory.

The Dreamer 9 is described by Voyah as the world's first MPV equipped with a rising hood ornament. The "Kunpeng Lingyun" emblem, inspired by the mythical Kunpeng bird, is meant to convey both ambition and restraint. The vehicle's design language, dubbed "Heaven, Earth, and Galaxy," incorporates elements such as the Ziwei star palace-inspired headlights and dragon-scale patterned trim, blending natural landscapes and celestial motifs into the bodywork.

Shao Mingfeng, Voyah's chief brand officer and sales company general manager, said the collection marks a contemporary testament to Voyah's innovations in the premium new-energy vehicle sector and reinforces the responsibility of automakers to carry history forward while creating the future. He noted that the Dreamer 9's design, technology, and positioning reflect the direction Chinese brands are exploring in the high-end MPV category.

Market validation and structural tests

Voyah says the Dreamer family, which spans a price range of 300,000 to 700,000 yuan (about $42,300 to $98,600, Chinese guide prices before taxes and incentives), has accumulated more than 200,000 users, helping to challenge the long-standing dominance of foreign brands in the premium MPV market. The company claims the Dreamer leads its segment in sales, reputation, and quality after four years of iteration.

To demonstrate structural integrity, Voyah says the Dreamer 9 completed what it calls the world's first passenger-vehicle roof-pressure mobility challenge, driving 35 meters under a combined 18.1-tonne load from a 10.8-meter-high stacking tower. After the test, all doors opened normally with no visible body deformation. The automaker also ran a four-vehicle parallel test over speed bumps to verify chassis stability. Voyah attributes the results to its ultra-high-strength cage body, multi-layer battery protection, intelligent architecture, and active safety systems.

The Dreamer 9 now joins other vehicles in the museum's collection, which spans 140 years of automotive history, offering visitors a view of China's achievements in the premium MPV segment. For Voyah, the acquisition provides an independent, third-party endorsement of its claim to be a creator of original Chinese luxury MPVs, complementing its sales record in the segment.
