Tuoche Di uses algorithms to rebuild China's fragmented car-shipping market

Chinese car-shipping platform Tuoche Di is applying AI and data analytics to standardize a fragmented industry, claiming 5-second order response and 98.7% match rates, with 890,000 certified drivers and 4 million users.

In China, car shipping has long been a "familiar-person business": car owners cannot understand how quotes are formed, drivers wait for stable orders, and dealers rely on connections and brokers to move vehicles. Prices, delivery times, and damage liability have remained hidden in an industry black box, with transactions and fulfillment tied to non-standardized personal networks, according to PCauto.

Tuoche Di, a digital platform for car logistics, believes the industry's problem is not a lack of supply but the absence of a standardized, digital, and accountable fulfillment system. The company is using data and algorithms to rebuild the transaction and fulfillment ecosystem, rather than simply adding more trucks.

From fragmented demand to platform play

Car-shipping demand in China has evolved beyond traditional long-distance full-truckload transport. It now includes cross-city moves of private cars, used-car transfers, rental-car returns, show-car dispatches, motorsport support, and equipment transport—creating many non-standard, small-batch orders. Supply, however, remains highly fragmented: individual drivers, small fleets, and regional logistics companies each control only partial routes, with inconsistent pricing, service processes, and after-sales compensation standards. This structural mismatch has led to inefficiency and frequent disputes, leaving a gap for a platform with scale and quality service.

Tuoche Di has stepped into that gap. Its core business covers commercial transport, travel transport, and rescue services, integrating large-board carpooling, small-board express, chauffeured delivery, and enterprise custom logistics. The company has evolved from a car-shipping service provider into a digital trading and fulfillment platform for the entire auto logistics industry.

The platform digitizes the entire process: users can order, quote, pay, track, and invoice online; drivers get a closed loop of order-taking, navigation, reconciliation, and settlement; and the platform uses intelligent matching, order management, smart customer service, and risk warning systems for full-chain digital control.

Technology as the backbone

Tuoche Di claims its orders receive a response within 5 seconds and that its capacity matching rate exceeds 98.7%. As of July 2026, the platform reports over 31,000 premium routes, more than 200 city service stations, 890,000 certified drivers, and over 4 million cumulative users, indicating a bilateral network effect.

Chen Cheng, Tuoche Di's technology head, says the biggest challenge is not just finding capacity but "matching the right vehicle faster, planning the optimal route, and providing comprehensive insurance and full-process risk control." The company applies AI large models and time-series prediction algorithms to capacity dispatch, using real-time traffic, weather, and road conditions to plan routes and predict capacity gaps, avoiding areas prone to ice, accidents, and congestion. Electronic signing, cloud-stored inspection images, GPS monitoring, and electronic fence alerts make the entire transport process traceable.

For users, Tuoche Di simplifies the process to four steps: open the app, input needs, confirm the quote, and place the order. It offers door-to-door delivery, online invoicing, full cargo insurance, and 24-hour rescue services. Its product lineup includes large-board carpooling for cost-effectiveness, small-board express for speed and exclusive protection, and long-distance chauffeured delivery for scenarios like returning rental cars.

For B2B clients such as automakers, 4S dealerships, used-car dealers, and rental platforms, Tuoche Di uses intelligent carpooling, a transfer station network, and dedicated capacity to reduce empty runs. The platform estimates it can help enterprises save 15% to 40% on transport costs while improving delivery times.

Tuoche Di's long-term goal is to become the operating system for digital auto logistics, weaving scattered capacity, fragmented demand, and non-standard processes into a computable, trackable, and accountable digital network. The company aims to shift car shipping from "relationship-driven" to "rule-driven," eventually making "car shipping as easy as sending a package" a common industry practice.
