Stellantis has pulled the wraps off six concept cars in Paris, a day before the city's motor show opens. The unveiling took place on October 11 at Hangar Y, with the concepts set to debut at the Paris Motor Show from October 12 to 18. According to Gasgoo, the group will field its largest stand at the event, displaying more than 60 vehicles and nine concepts across eight brands, including six world premieres.
The six concepts were developed under the direction of Gilles Vidal, Stellantis' head of design for Europe, and correspond to Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS, Fiat, Opel and Peugeot. They explore themes ranging from mobility and performance to wellbeing and digital experiences, the company said.
Concept highlights
The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso targets driving enthusiasts with a multi-energy architecture and a body up to 4.7 metres long. It hints at a potential Quadrifoglio version, with powertrain ideas including a 2.9-litre V6 full hybrid, Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque converter and a carbon-fibre driveshaft. The Citroën 2 CV Concept is a battery-electric (BEV) model built in Europe, with a price tag of €15,000. The DS F3VER combines desirability, personalisation and versatility, while the Fiat Multiplay blends pickup and SUV traits, drawing inspiration from the Multipla. The Opel STX Concept previews a wagon design direction with Vizor lighting and Compass elements, some of which will appear in future production models. The Peugeot RCZVision sits on the STLA One platform, features steer-by-wire and showcases next-generation cabin technology.
Stellantis chairman John Elkann, CEO Antonio Filosa and European chief operating officer Emanuele Cappellano outlined progress on the FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, saying the group will focus on customer needs through technology, products and innovation. Cappellano noted that the group, which includes Leapmotor among its eight exhibiting brands, plans to launch more than 50 products by 2030 and expand its European market coverage by 25%.
