Qijing GX7 Delivers First Celebrity Owner in Wuhan, Showcasing 'Launch-to-Delivery' Speed

Qijing GX7, a new EREV from GAC and Huawei, handed over its first celebrity-owned unit to TV host Li Sisi in Wuhan, highlighting its 'launch-to-delivery' strategy and family-focused features.

On October 13, at the Qijing brand flagship store in Wuhan's K11 mall, TV host and mother of two Li Sisi took delivery of a Qijing GX7, becoming the model's first celebrity owner. The handover follows her on-stage experience and order during the GX7's launch event on September 23, completing her transition from presenter to customer in under a month, according to the Chinese outlet 电动邦 (Dian Dong Bang).

A Family-First Electric SUV

The Qijing GX7 is a range-extender electric vehicle (EREV) co-developed by GAC Group and Huawei, targeting family buyers. Li praised its versatile cabin, which features an industry-first 20-second one-touch flat bed that folds seats flat without emptying the trunk, still leaving room for two 24-inch suitcases. She called it a 'kid-friendly tool' for weekend trips.

The cabin includes Huawei's HarmonyOS cockpit 6 with a ten-screen interactive system, plus an in-cabin sensing system and rear-seat child monitoring. The latter lets front-seat passengers check on kids in real time, with alerts for leaning out and automatic sleep mode adjustments, addressing a common concern for parents.

On the road, the GX7 is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which Li described as smooth and stable. The SUV also offers a 142-degree rear seat recline and soft-touch materials throughout.

Specs and Charging

The GX7 comes standard with a CATL battery pack featuring a 26-layer protection structure. Its CLTC pure-electric range is 385 km (about 239 miles; WLTP est. roughly 308-327 km), sufficient for a week of commuting, while combined range exceeds 1,500 km (about 932 miles). The 800V 5C fast-charging system can replenish 30% to 80% in 10 minutes.

The vehicle is built on a chassis ready for L3 autonomous driving, with four lidar sensors and 38 high-performance sensors, supporting over-the-air updates. It also includes a 6kW V2L (vehicle-to-load) function for outdoor activities.

Qijing offers an industry-exclusive 'four-no-limit' lifetime warranty covering time, mileage, frequency, and cost, including the battery, range extender, and dual-chamber air suspension.

Li's delivery underscores the GX7's market momentum, with the brand emphasizing 'launch-to-delivery' efficiency. The model is produced by GAC, leveraging its manufacturing expertise, and integrates Huawei's full suite of seven intelligent vehicle solutions.
