Neolix, a Chinese autonomous driving technology company specializing in unmanned delivery vehicles, announced on October 20 that it has completed a Series E funding round of nearly 400 million yuan (about $56 million), according to PCauto. The round was co-led by Boyu Capital and a national-level fund, with participation from Alibaba's AEF NextGen Hong Kong fund, GGV Capital, Vertex Growth (a Temasek affiliate), and GAC Capital, among others. This marks the largest single fundraising in China's autonomous driving sector this year, and brings Neolix's cumulative funding to over 10 billion yuan (about $1.4 billion), the highest in the unmanned delivery vehicle industry.
Neolix has made steady progress in both commercialization and technology over the past year. Its fleet of driverless vehicles remains the world's largest, and its delivery operations have expanded from e-commerce and express delivery to a broader logistics network that serves various cargo owners, helping them cut costs and improve efficiency. The company's technology is centered on a vision-based end-to-end large model, supported by a unified architecture that coordinates cloud, edge, and vehicle-side models, creating a closed loop that integrates operations, data, and algorithms to drive scalable efficiency.
On the global front, Neolix began overseas expansion early and has deployed unmanned delivery vehicles and supporting services in the Middle East, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australia, with overseas delivery volumes ranking among the top in the industry.
Policy tailwinds and growth plans
Since 2026, policy support for unmanned delivery has been strengthening. In July, the Ministry of Transport clarified that pilot applications for unmanned express vehicles would be launched during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). In August, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Transport jointly issued a plan promoting commercial operation of unmanned delivery equipment. In September, nine government departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released an industrial plan to advance multi-scenario pilot applications for functional unmanned vehicles, gradually forming a supportive policy environment.
Boyu Capital stated that Neolix has pioneered a Robovan capacity network model, and its large-scale overseas deliveries have validated the global competitiveness of its products. The investor said it will continue to support the company in consolidating its industry position and expanding into global markets.
Neolix founder Yu Enyuan said the company will continue to deepen its business presence in various regions and build an efficient and reliable unmanned vehicle capacity network. The new funds will be directed toward two main areas: improving localized service hubs in key global regions to optimize customer fulfillment networks, and increasing investment in the training loop of the end-to-end large model to enhance the safety level of autonomous driving and reduce the total cost of vehicle ownership over their lifecycle.
