Chinese automaker Zhijie has taken the wraps off its V9, a large luxury MPV aimed at both business and family buyers, according to a first-drive review published by Autohome. The model, which measures 5,359mm long, 1,999mm wide and 1,879mm tall with a 3,250mm wheelbase, is positioned as a roomier and easier-to-drive alternative in the segment.
Design and driving dynamics
The V9 adopts a low, wide front end with a horizontal grille and chrome trim, plus a full-width LED light bar with animated lock and unlock sequences. Its side profile is clean and elongated, topped with dedicated alloy wheels. The rear light strip is designed for high visibility at night.
Underneath, the MPV features up to 7 degrees of rear-wheel steering, giving it a minimum turning radius of just 5.35 metres - among the tightest in its class, according to Autohome. That makes the large vehicle feel more manoeuvrable in city traffic and parking lots, with agility comparable to a family sedan.
Cabin and rear-seat focus
Inside, the V9 pairs premium materials such as soft-touch surfaces and real wood trim with a diamond-cut control panel. The centrepiece is a Hongmeng (HarmonyOS) triple-screen setup: a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch 3.4K displays for the centre console and front passenger, with slim bezels and fast response. The interface mirrors Huawei's phone and tablet logic, including side-swipe back gestures and card stacking, so users familiar with Huawei devices need no learning curve. A dual 50W wireless charging pad with a divider sits ahead of the centre console.
The second row is the highlight, with standard ventilation, heating, a full SPA massage function and zero-gravity mode on all models. Upholstered in premium leather, the seats are supported by a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen and a detachable rear control panel that manages seats, climate and entertainment independently. A wide-temperature-range cooler box covers -6°C to 15°C and 35°C to 60°C, with power-off insulation for long trips.
Third-row space, often a weak point in MPVs, is improved thanks to the long wheelbase and a 3,660mm cabin length. Autohome reported that a 174cm-tall adult can sit in the third row with ample head and legroom, and the seats are fully electric with adjustable recline and position, plus independent air vents and privacy sunshades.
Cargo capacity stands at four 20-inch carry-on suitcases in normal configuration, expanding to 16 when the third row is folded flat, covering daily use, road trips and business reception.
The Zhijie V9 is part of the Zhijie brand, a joint venture between Huawei and Chery, and runs on Huawei's HarmonyOS ecosystem. Autohome's review did not disclose pricing or powertrain details, but the model is expected to compete in the premium MPV segment in China.
