Changan Qiyuan Q06 First Drive: 800V Fast Charging and a 4.8-Second Sprint

Autohome's first drive of the Changan Qiyuan Q06 reveals a 330 kW dual-motor BEV with 800V 6C charging, a 4.8-second 0-100 km/h time, and a price of 165,900 yuan (about $23,400) for the tested trim.

The Changan Qiyuan Q06, a new mid-size electric SUV, has been put through a deep road test by Chinese outlet Autohome, highlighting its performance, comfort, and advanced driver-assistance features. The tested 700 Zhizun trim, with optional rear dual motors and the Tianshu Linghang Ultra system, carries a guide price of 186,800 yuan (about $26,300) before taxes and incentives, with the base 700 Zhizun starting at 165,900 yuan (about $23,400).

Designed by a former Porsche design team, the Q06 features a 2,258mm light bar with 236 LEDs, a coupe-like silhouette, and a drag coefficient of 0.27Cd. The vehicle measures 4,837mm long, 1,970mm wide, and 1,670mm tall, with a 91.7% interior space efficiency. Inside, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 49-inch AR-HUD are standard, powered by the Tianshu Cockpit 2.0 system with dual AI models from Deepseek and Alibaba's Qwen.

Performance and Charging

The Q06's rear dual motors deliver a combined 330 kW (443 hp) and 730 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds. The all-aluminum front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, with hydraulic adaptive damping, provides a comfortable yet sporty ride, according to Autohome. On the highway, the test recorded a 20.4 kWh/100 km consumption, and using a 600A ultra-fast charger, the battery charged from 30% to 80% in just 9 minutes, adding over 200 km of range.

The tested vehicle's CLTC range is 670 km (WLTP est. 536-569 km) due to the optional dual motors, down from 700 km on the standard version. In Autohome's high-speed test, the Q06 covered 207.1 km on 50% battery at an average speed of 107 km/h, with an estimated real-world range of about 414 km under similar conditions.

ADAS and Comfort

The optional Tianshu Linghang Ultra system, with 560 TOPS of computing power and a 256-line LiDAR, supports one-piece end-to-end navigation and interactive piloting. Autohome found its performance mature on highways and urban expressways, but conservative in complex city scenarios, such as multi-lane negotiation and campus navigation, where it sometimes hesitated or failed.

Comfort features include a 9.5L dual-layer refrigerator, 20-speaker NEVO Sound audio, zero-gravity front passenger seat, and rear seats with 145° electric recline, heating, ventilation, and massage. The trunk offers 782L of space, expanding to 2,200L with seats folded, plus a 196L frunk. Maintenance costs are low, with an estimated 1,500-2,000 yuan (about $211-$282) over three years or 60,000 km, and a lifetime warranty on the battery and electric drive system for first owners.
