Leapmotor posts 105,656 global deliveries in September, exports hit 2026 target early

Leapmotor delivered 105,656 vehicles globally in September, up 59% year on year, and said overseas exports of over 27,000 units in the month pushed it past its 2026 export target ahead of schedule.

Leapmotor said on October 1 that it delivered 105,656 vehicles globally in September, up 59% from a year earlier, marking several consecutive months of monthly sales above the 100,000-unit mark. The figure covers both its home market in China and overseas sales, according to Chinese outlet Gasgoo.

The company said overseas exports exceeded 27,000 units in September, bringing the January-September cumulative export total to more than 150,000 units and completing its previously set 2026 export target ahead of schedule. As of the end of September 2026, Leapmotor's cumulative global deliveries surpassed 1.8 million units, with a presence in more than 45 countries and regions. The brand said it operates over 1,000 sales and service outlets in Europe, and that its registrations rank among the top three in the pure-electric segment in core European markets including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Technology push underpins growth

Behind the sales and globalization momentum is a technology refresh. On September 16, Leapmotor held its 2026 technology launch event, unveiling the LEAP5.0 vehicle architecture, an LWM world-model-based driver assistance system, an MM-1 multi-mode hybrid electric drive, and a CTC3.0 high- and low-voltage integrated battery pack.

Leapmotor founder, chairman and CEO Zhu Jiangming said the company is not innovating for the sake of showing off. "Every innovation released this time will land in the next-generation products, making good technology accessible to everyone," he said.

On the product side, Leapmotor plans to bring the D19 and A05 models to the Paris International Motor Show, which opens on October 12. The D19 is a flagship SUV intended to represent Leapmotor's brand-up push and its global product-definition capability. The A05, a new model on the A platform, is positioned as a battery-electric sedan with a 510 km range and a lidar sensor priced below 100,000 yuan (about $14,100) in China. The range figure is quoted under China's CLTC test cycle, which is typically 15-20% more optimistic than the WLTP standard, so a WLTP-equivalent estimate would be roughly 410-435 km.

From exporting to selling well

Leapmotor's September performance is not a single sales spike but the result of technology, product and globalization working together, the company said. Sustained monthly volumes above 100,000 units show a stable scale base, while early completion of the export target and leading European registrations suggest the brand is moving from simply shipping cars abroad to actually selling them in volume.

With the positive loop between technology, product and sales strengthening, Leapmotor said it expects its competitive position in the global new-energy vehicle market to keep improving.
